Hello everyone. I'm new to the internet marketing world. I've read this post thoroughly and bought a domain too.
But I just wanted to ask that how can I find forums related to my niche? I looked everywhere for this, but not getting any answers. A reply will be really helpful.

Not sure where the op plucked $1000 a month from. Amazon commisions are pretty low on most items. If someone made $100 consistantly I'd be surprised given the amount of time that would go in to posting on numourus forums it would even be worth the time.

$1000/mo with Amazon is nothing - the forum part is just to make your initial investment back, not the main income source. It'll be supplemented by organic traffic.

Anyway, all of this has been discussed plenty of times in the thread before...

I know some guys just hire VA's for the forum/blog post/spam part & Article bloggers and blow it up with these Amazon Affiliate Sites.

Once you get a system down it gets more and more passive in terms of income, especially once you know how to set up the system and setup an outsourced team to take care of the rest. But for those with minimum resources, this is hands down a very beginner (but requires some elbow grease) friendly stuff. Not only is it beginner friendly but this also covers a lot of the basics when more methods develop down the road. Especially ones like setting up your websites and servers.

So true! And not to mention the other ideas it gives you, beyond the methods/ideas it mentions. I believe that developing methods that work and are not spoon fed, are far more encouraging and satisfying than just applying everything you read. However, this is a perfect starting/building on point.

First of all, thank you @meathead1234 for this thread and as late as I have got into it, I have found a lot of inspiration within your original post, so I decided that this will be my last venture to which I will give all in ( all available resources I have and all the time I can spare from my full time 12 hours a day job ) and make this a success.

However, I must note, that I am complete and utter noob when it comes to affiliate marketing or amazon for that matter. Though I think with the right mindset I'm trying to establish and dedication I can make this one work and finally succeed online on my own.

Now all the blabbering aside, I do have few questions to anyone who has more experience than me and answers would be highly appreciated as I did not want to start a brand new thread and I think my questions are within this topic, so lets begin:

1: I want to start this sort of blog and as far as I understood, forum/guest posting is basically only to get an initial traffic boost to make initial investment back. And while meathead suggests not to worry about the competition or search volume, would it be a good strategy to actually do a proper keyword research and pick low/mid search volume low competition keyword and do SEO as much as possible while also applying forum posting?

2: I have literally no knowledge about SEO when it comes to actual strategies or executing one.. Maybe anyone could suggest a good beginners guide to SEO? I tried reading forum and googling it, but the issue with this is that the amount of information on the topic is overwhelming and that everyone have different outlook/opinion when it comes to actually doing it. Maybe it's just me...

3: My goal with this venture would be to be making around $2000/month after a year, however I have zero clue how many monthly searches my targeted keyword should have to be able to achieve such goal. let's say I go with 5k monthly search volume and at #1 I would be getting 30% of the traffic which would be about 1500. Then let's say I get a 60% CTR which makes 900 visitors a month visit amazon through my aff link. Now let's assume that optimistic 2% will convert which makes it 18 buyers... So if my niche has mostly products $150-300 range at 4% commission rate it would be $100-200 in earnings.... Am I not seeing something here or is there a magical way to make $1000 per month with this method? Or does it only work with forum posting and organic traffic is not the way to go? This part confuses me the most as I don't know how to safely project the earnings and how much is reasonable to spend on the website.

I stopped posting a while back and still get $500/mo off the site I made for just this thread.

If you're good at posting the threads, some of them will turn into serious discussions and end up being stickied. Needs some perseverance though.

The General Products (Table 2) are way less than 8%.
If products are ordered at least 631 times (in a given month) via my link then I am eligible for 8% commission or I am reading it all wrong?

I read the page like 4 times but I am still unable to find the table you said.

Don't pick a niche that is categorised as "electronics" on Amazon. Check out this page to ensure the products you choose are not in a fixed fee structure below 8%. The vast majority of products/niches on Amazon will be subject to the "General Products" commission tiers (table 2 on that page) - they are the ones you want.
