site is over 3 years old. have added it to both bing and google web master tools 3 years ago.

ranked top 2 for my keyword in yahoo and bing for more than a year
having a hard time breaking top 10 in google

have not even logged in to my bing webmaster tool account over 2 years, meaning did not submit any disavow file (not even sure if they have that concept).

continuously checking google webmaster tool and playing with disavow file

only thing that I can think of is that bing/yahoo have a major different algorithm from google, and somehow google is penalizing me.

any thoughts and suggestions?

Yes it is quite obious that they are diffrent. Just look how many spammed domains/subdomains are still in bing for paydays. They are there for over 3 years and nothing changes. Bing is focused on links (I can say only links). If you only can index them in bing you will rank higher, also bing looks for keyword density, domain name. Bing is like google a few years ago.

Google has diffrent algorithms focued today on time - speed of links creation, links profile, anchors. In google just do your job - get more good links, add fresh conent and be patient.

Have you received manual action? If not, why play with disavow?

no manual actions....

it seems that when I disavow spammy links, i rank higher in google

Bing algorithm like Google a few years ago:)

Important factors in Bing: domain age, keywords in domain/url, optimization (lots of keywords in the content), a lot of backlinks

Its simple, Bing and Yahoo don't seem to be driven by a sophisticated of AI as Google's Brain nural net. They are a lot like Google was maybe 3 years ago. Google, on the other hand, has the equivalent of Sky Net watching for patterns and adjusts itself on the fly to guard against trends on SEO. So to beat Google you need to "act natural" while Bing and Yahoo still can be gamed outright a little bit more.
