Facebook ads CPC 5 times higher than usual

I started to advertise a campaign recently and I noticed that CPC increased ALOT (or am I doing anything wrong?)
6 months ago I could get website link clicks from UK for around 0.30 , now I can get them for $2, even more.
This is the average bidding which it shows me when I'm creating an ad and that's also the amount it charged me.
This is happening to all countries, could get only shitty countries for 0.40 cpc


Is this happening to everyone? What CPC do you guys have and on which countries?

very lucky always hard for me to get CPC down

OP did you change your target crowd at all
and maybe try to change per impressions, or if thts what you use then maybe switch back to per click

bad ads that get no click when paying per impressions can ruin your budget

I'm using cost per click.
I thought that it may be because of low converting ads but I created a new ad account and when I was trying to create an ad it was showing me the same insane CPC averages.

How long have you been running this campaign? Remember, FB needs time to optimize. You cost should go down in about 5 days from start date.

Your ad copy is not grabbing enough ATTENTION, Even 0.30$/Click is very high.
Can i have a look at your ad copy? Also your targeting seems to be OFF.

Same problem is happening to me, before 2 months I was able to get US likes at 0.01$-0.02$, now is impossible to fall from 0.20$ :
