Dropped Rankings..

Hey guys now I just seemed to have got a slap from Google...this was a niche site in which I was trying to rank 2 KW's both 6k+ searches a mo/. Now I got them to 7 and 10. I decided to create a PBN site to push the rankings for the site. I made 1 article linking both KW's and a few days later *BAM* Google slaps me. Now they're around #40 and #30 but slowly improving. Not sure if it was the PBN or something else. And the odd thing is that my other KW's which I already had at #1 and didn't link to didn't get affected. Now I've been slapped by Google before but usually they screw all my keywords but its odd how they only dropped 2 KW's and not all.

Now I'm just wondering how I can recover from this, what would you guys recommend?

Might just be a dance so could wait but i would recommend removing one of the KWs as should really be targeting 1 KW, ie 1 link per post to your site.

Yeah removed both KW's from the PBN.
 
So you made 1 pbn site and linked to your money site with 2 keywords, 2 exact match anchors?
Do you have other links, what anchors %?

I've built hundreds of links to this site. with exact match anchor and non exacts.
 
That's the google panda/penguin/monkey/dog doing the job...
 
I doubt it was your PBN there is no way the algo caught it that fast. Probably just a dance. Hit your site with some fresh t1 links with branded / naked anchors give google what it loves while at the same time playing a little dirty and feeding only a few PBN links every month.
 
If your pbn is super authoritative then it may just be a dance.I would suggest not to remove links from that article and wait for a week or till dust settles.Usually when my sites goes down it returns with higher ranking.
 
Slowly improving, will update the thread in a bit. But I also linked to my other niche site on the PBN with another article and on that site the KW's are improving.
 
Just thought it was proper to update. . . Rankings are back! Seemed to have been the dance ;) Google loves to play.
 
Did your ranking come back higher? Or is it around the same?
 
It is perfectly normal especially after adding a PBN link, the site starts dancing. If the PBN domain was clean, then you should be fine.

I removed the links but adding them now.

Yeah I've come across this before just this time got a little scared cause it was for an important site!
 
It's just a Google Dance. I'll happen when you build links. It takes some time to settle down. Keep adding links. No worries.
 
Yup drops gets back up. So all good, building more PBN links to it ;)
