I am sure many of you already noticed this.

I have my skype on my profile. People are adding me on skype, chatting up all nice and friendly then offering their services. First one, I thought nice the guy is putting extra effort for finding clients. Second one, I was like ok cant blame a guy for trying. After 9-10 times, I am like, this has to stop!

Interesting thing is, its not only about offering services. Few of them tried to befriend me, didn't offer anything, after a day or two, asked me if I can ask for a review copy at their bst thread and leave a nice review supplied by them later.

Irony is, these guys are trying to BlackHat the BlackHat forum

Be thankful, they are such a waste of time. People beating about the bush, either trying to sell shit or begging for help or a method.

I got a request once claiming that he was interested in buying link building service. He started asking me questions which made me inquisitive whether he really wants to buy or trying to just clear his mind on some issues related with seo. I finally asked him to google about seo or learn from many articles posted here on BHW. After 2 days of brain sucking,he got disappeared!
the good part is that this happened just once
And regarding the reviews, many users get banned due to fake reviews.

This is pretty common, if I see someone offering a service or its a female profile I dont even accept them on skype.

I can't imagine the mods care about those reports as there is no way to prove a seller asked you to bump his thread. People could fake screenshots and create multiple accounts just to get one of their competitors banned from the marketplace.

@OP: You shouldn't have your skype ID displayed on your profile unless you're a seller yourself.

Agreed. Gonna remove my Skype from profile.

This could be avoided, along with a majority of shitlist threads, newbie spam and such on BHW, with a few simple fixes.

1) Don't allow Skype username links in BHW profiles.
2) Censor the word "Skype" from conversations.
3) Don't allow Skype logs as "evidence" in shitlist threads. Only email and PM communication.

Skype may be a good tool for international conversation, but in the IM world it's flooded with spammers, scammers, and beggars.
