Try the site:www.domain.com command. If no results are returned it got hit pretty bad.

Also check your webmaster tool considering the site is yours, and check if there are traffic losses (using Semrush for example).

Penalized site usually decrease ranking in SERP and dropped organic traffic.

You can check if a site is penalized or not by
1. Logging into Google Webmaster tools and check for manual actions
2. Login to Google Analytics and review your Google traffic.

search also for domain com, without the dot between domain and com and a space instead, like I wrote if the domain is not first page is penalized somehow
