Hello, I've found many sites likes writers weekly and seeking alpha that pays for submitted articles. I just wanted to know if anyone makes money submitting articles.

Also, some of the websites I've seen say things about subscriptions, for example, it'll say like 20$ a month, does anyone know what that means?

Are there any websites that are good for this money making method?

For features: Pays $60 for around 600 words. For success stories: Pays $40 for around 400 words. i would rather start a blog, monetize it, build up a readership and make money that way.
Who owns the rights to each article?

I've found starting a blog to be difficult for my mentality, i just like to write not do seo work and website design, etc. I don't know who owns the articles or anything like that. It's just an avenue I've been thinking about.

I just want to know is this as simple as they make it seem?

you have to submit your article before they decide, lot of hassle and waiting. but if you are not comfortable with starting a blog then you need other avenues.
have you looked at iwriter or fiverr?

I'm on fiverr now. I just started im still level 1. I'm trying to increase my revenue but it's hard so far. Fiverr is growing slow.

I just checked iwriter and I found the pay is even lower then just submitting articles.

the hire the freelancer section has been good to me, even though its hit or miss.

you can also try setting up your own personal website, explain what you do with very well written articles & then reach out to ppl offline or online (linkedin is good) to offer your services

Mate, if you are a talented writer then you are in the right place. You can makesome giveaways here to get a reputation and then, if you receive positive feedback, start a BST here on BHW. If you are a good writer you can do money with this. That's just my 2c.

A big advice: always focus on quality!

Unfortunately, I don't have the 400 or 500$ to do the market place thing. I'm only a college student with no job. But, what do you mean by giveaways. Should I offer free articles in the freelance section or something.

Well yes you could do this so people start to know you and that you are a quality writer. Doing so, you will also gain more experience.

I just remembered that NatashaNixon was also searching for native writers, search her webpage and apply for it if you want.

what do you mean you don't know how to use linkedin lol? you sign up, fill out your profile and reach out to people you think want your services. there's lots of threads & articles online about how best to fill out your profile

by hit or miss i mean sometimes you have really good clients who are patient and willing to pay you appropriately for your work. other times you have clients who want lightning fast delivery, but pay next to nothing and want a bunch of revisions and are just generally bad to work with.

Ok understood, then can you recommend some clients? or, is it all just a bad idea?

I'm looking her up now, thanks.

I think you should try to get a job in real life first. Anything you can get is fine, for example McDonalds. If you work weekends flipping burgers you could make at least $100 a week and use that money to fund an amazon affiliate site

Absolutely not McDonalds. But I would like to here about your experiences with amazon affiliate sites. How do you market them? Ppc or just sicial marketing.

You can market them with SEO which will take about 4 weeks to see results. In order to do SEO you most likely need to invest money whether it be in PBN posts or your own PBN. You could try to rank with free web 2.0s but that is unlikely unless your niche is very low competition, plus you would need to send GSA or scrapebox link blasts to your web 2.0s, which means you'd have to buy Scrapebox and learn how to use it, or once again pay for a service that can do this. Either way you need some kind of investment cash, which is why I recommended Mcdonalds for this purpose

Can ask what PBNs are. How much would i need to invest from beginning to end for amazon affiliate site?
