Background: Not a black hatter by profession, not into IT, not into IM. I am a professional who finished his degree in one of the most well paid and respected professions in the world. I was a topper. Aced every test there is. I have been toying with the idea to create an online business. I have a strong fan following (of my products) and they are dying for the product for which I gave them a sneak peak. (Literally, harassing me to launch it ! lolz)
Method: Create videos on YT and monetize them on YT. Plus, create multiple websites and monetize via adsense, Taboola, Outbrain, Amazon CPM, Amzon affiliates, etc. Create downloads and monetize via content lockers. Create apps and monetize at a later stage.
Strengths: Hard worker when I do decide on doing something, Creative, Out of the box thinking, Observant, Humble (Professionally), Ready to experiment (within reason), Very ambitious, Super competitive.
Weaknesses: Procrastination, Over Confidence.
Progress thus far:
Created multiple FB groups and have in excess of 100K naturally acquired, non marketed people. All of em post daily and we have like 200-300 posts and a few K comments per day. Made multiple FB pages as my prospective business is segregated. Each of em in like 2-3 months or so have 20K + likes. All natural. No ads.
I believe I am good at growth hacking and understanding what people want and need and I provide it to them. I created many many free posts and get 10K + engagement on them and tons of comments, likes and shares. I created 2 videos and got many many views. Views come in naturally via google too. I believe I can make it as there is insane demand and it is a niche and I am giving them content that practically no one I know can or is giving. They are dying for it. Thing is, I am lazy as f*** and have not actually given them what they want and have hence not really made money yet.. well i made like 20$ on my 2 videos..but nothing to talk about.
This month's goal (Sept 2016): Create 3 products. Launch the multiple websites I need for them. Create videos. Create everything and make 500K by month end. It is gonna be a slog fest. I know. But finally i am motivated to do it. I am selling myself short and not working to get what i deserve. I can and will make it. I am using this thread as motivation and to share my experience and I will update this as and when i can. Though i am probably never every going to reveal my niche and unlike some threads (many of em may be well meaning).. I am not using this as a precursor to launch a product on BHW. I am a user of BHW and a sharer at BHW. But i don't think i will be selling anything here
Experience till now: I have a family business. It was all offline. I made the website for it, made multiple google business accounts. Did the SEO for it. Bought some off fiverr. SEO-ed a lot and have 4 pages in first page google SERP for main keyword. #1 and then some. Understood a loophole in google reviews and FB reviews and posted many fake ones. Basically did everything in my power to make my business look #1 and it pays off a lot. We have a lot of foot fall due to it and the business has google mediated traffic bring us around 5k-8k in new business per month. That's a lot in a developing country.
