Instagram help! Gain more followers!

Ok guys, noob here.
Alright so i work for an architecture and interior design firm and we are planning to really start establishing a solid social media presence. I'm managing these accounts and have established fb insta and google+. I want to focus mostly on instagram however, hence why im posting this.

AS OF NOW: marketing tactics have been proper hashtagging, beautiful imagery, and the "pulse" follow unfollow technique.

What I've been researching into: I have been paying more attention to larger instagram accounts in this niche and have been studying what they do ( what hashtags they use, how many posts they do a day and at what times they post).

My problem is however that all of this is doing minimal effect. (about 3 months in duration).

So hopefully anyone here might have suggestions as to what I can do that I haven't thought of or have been where I am and can give some pointers. Much appreciated everyone!!

Thats the whole "pulse" follow unfollow that i'm doing. but i feel that it looks bad for the company

You can engage with people, use good tags when posting pictures, post unique/funny/relatable pictures and be sure to use trending tags (you'll have to do some research) Also nothing is wrong with following people, it just shows you appreciate your audience. You can unfollow them on a later date. Also last resort (Not recommended) you can purchase real followers, these are actually real people who interact, post pictures etc. but they are not interested in your content and you will see very low engagement.

As you can notice that there are already some people who are implementing and working on the same niche. All you have forgotten is to be different from the rest of the people. be sure that you have done market analysis and research in order to identify the opportunities that have not been harnessed till date. That will help you bring something new with your accounts.

You could trying making a bunch of other ig accounts related to the company, growing them with follow/unfollow, and then DM your followers "I'm not going to be using this account anymore, unfollow this account and follow my main account @companynamehere instead". I've tried it before and it works well.

Buy shoutouts from high end home decor/interior design accounts. Works like a charm.
