Should I start a thread in the Marketplace section ?

Hello All,

So, I am in the Kindle business since 2014. It goes pretty well, enough well that I quit my day job few months ago.

Since these last 2 years I gathered some experience and, the main thing, a wonderful team of freelancers: Ghostwriters, translators (from en to it,de,fr,es) and editors (in it,de,fr, es languages). and nearly all of my translators and editors worked for major publishing companies in their home country.

I don't like the idea to rely only on amazon... Someday they can decide to fuck me or to change the system, or I don't know. Well, I would like to sleep better

So, few weeks ago, I started to think that I have a good team and not the capacity to get my freelancers always busy (as I do all the plot outlines, the ToCs and researches for non-fiction books and as there is only 24h in a day...), why not starting a new business ? I could provide a really good ghostwriting and translation services.

I hired a VA to find me prospects and leads, but up to now, not so much results.

Do you think that it could worth it to open a sales thread here ?

Yes. Writing BSTs are filled with low quality false advertisers with fake reviews and samples so we need more quality authors.

Ghostwriting never gets old on this forum. People need content constantly. Especially since there are a ton of low quality providers at cheap prices. If you charge 5 cents a word or more, you'll open yourself up to a whole new set of clients.

If I were you I would invest them in creating Large Niche websites. You can't underestimate the power of content these days. Even you get the best backlinks by writing guest posts!

What usually happens is that writers start great with their BST and then they get swamped with jobs and start delivering low quality and missing deadlines. If you can handle this problem, you'll do well. Of course, demand does depend on pricing as with everything.

Yes. What happens instead is: "omg, more clients, I can't say no and leave money on the table, I'll just work more and harder and will wear diapers so that I don't waste time in the toilet" -> crash.

That's a great advice, thanks ! I already started a journey for my "hobby" a amazon niche website and construct a PBN. I already asked one of my ghost writer to work on the PBN, she has a wonderful tone for blog writing.

If I got swamped, I'm dead, I already have a follow up and planning for my freelancers, I know how many words they can produce and their TAT.
I would like to put in the TOS that I'll validate each projects before accepting them.

Guys, the price would be $0.05/word (for ghostwriting services and translation services)... I will never have a lot of clients.
