How do you rank higher ? I don't understand this all .

I have 200+ positive rating , my listings have sold 5+ items all . I optimize my titles and descriptions to the max and yet I'm getting out ranked by noobies. Ive even done the method where you buy your own listing from different accounts, that only did it for a few days and then I went back to the 8th result again. I am offering the best price, have the highest rating and more sales than the majority of the people, offer free epxress shipping, returns and basically all you can think of and yet I am getting out ranked by people.

Ive heard that if your listing gets a lot of views and few sales , it gets ranked lower, so if I view bot my competitor's listings, can I unrank them ?

Also please tell me is there some trick to this, how come I am getting outdone by people with 5 rating ?

I've been selling on eBay since 1999. I can tell you from experience that eBay uses hidden account limits, and employs a search algo that's designed to "spread the wealth". They don't want one account getting too many sells on a specific item or in a specific category. They want to spread it out among multiple sellers all paying store subscription fees.

They also want newbies to come on and stay as sellers and eventually become subscribers, so they also give them good rank/sells initially, but it hurts more established sellers.
