How To Replicate Techchuck AutoBlog

Looks like techchuck has been penalized, if you search "techchuck" in Google it used to have sitelinks now it's gone off the first page for it's own name and this thread even ranks higher.

Also if you check Alexa, click the "Search %" tab under Traffic Stats and put the graph on Trailing 3 or 6 months you can see the huge dive starting about 14 days ago.

Looks like a -30 because searching for "Techchuck" it's got a double listing over in #33 & #34 with the auto sub in #35.

So i would switch your blogs up a lot, use different themes, keywords, feed sources etc.

Great thread, i have been working through this for 2 days now and think i`m almost done, but i`m having a problem with kish twitter showing anything but the "Related tweets from Twitter:" and nothing underneath.

not sure if this is related but i also have a problem i don`t see the Auto tags under write new post for some reason.

Sorry for the newbie question, but I have a wp-o-matic caching issue that is driving me mad.

On every feed that I have, and on the global wp-o-matic seeing, I have everything set to cache the image in the standard 'cache' directory. Permissions are 777, and this is indeed a directory, not a file Error logs show no problems, all my images show up on my webpage perfectly. The problem is that the cache directory is empty. All the images on my blog are being shown from their respective servers (i.e. they aren't being cached). I tried changing my cache directory to a new one ("cache0", "cache2", etc), same thing. I went back through the logs, zip. No errors, but no caching? Anyone seen this? Really weird.

my auto-blog was dropped from google. i assumed it was from not linking back to original on all posts.

Did you make many modifications to the standard files specopkirbs uploaded?

I made one, left it standard and it's not doing real good and another i customized a ton and it's even outranking the original on a few posts despite only having 5 backlinks.

So yep mix them up, it's probably safe to assume Google has seen this thread.

I have figured out the reason why his site is banned... His site is SPAM and he doesn't put much consideration in helping visitors. eg: The site is messy and links are every where the site doesn't make sense.

this kinda theme and style dont work well with google..
i have experimented this..
first i did the same things what speci did.
after 10 days only my homepage was listed in google.
then i did some modifications my self and now google is indexing my site @ 10 links a day

I made a bunch of changes. I am almost certain the issue is that my posts did not link back to the original, causing them to be viewed as duplicate content. I know how to correct it, but have been slacking off. As soon as I correct, I will resubmit the site.

It took me hours and hours to read .. and more than a week to clone techchuck ! Im almost done with it . I think the OP , does not have a close clone of techchuck .. there's a lot of think he has not implemented ..

Dont allow pingbacks to blog from posts and dont allow to ping your blog. Atm u are easy to spot and it cant end good.

I'm really having trouble with the rss feeds. Lots of html code is showing up in the posts, and it's pretty ugly. Most of the posts are not showing the images properly either. Is there something that is causing the data to not be parsed correctly. I'm sorry if this has been covered already...

Try finding some different feeds or cleaning the feed using yahoo pipes. If you use pipes you need to patch WOM. Fix is here

Images - Are they showing up as blank? Are they GIF's? There is a problem with thumbnail plugin. I can't find the fix right now. LMK if you need it. I can dig it up again.
