Ok do backlinks actually boost youtube ranking ?

I want someone who has bought backlinks for his videos in the past to tell me whether they changed anything . I used to purchase about 400 google shares for my videos in the past and they didn't really seem to be doing ANYTHING at all. So do actual backlinks do ?

google votes might have a really small effect , facebook likes and shares on the other hand I can confirm do 100% nothing , once I bought 4000 likes and 100 shares on facebook for my video and it didnt do absolutely anything .

Fake views, fb shares, retweets, google +1s will never work guys ! Remember that. It should be delivered from real active accounts, drip feed for months, not 300 likes in 3 days and nothing after that. Youtube is smart

A lot of it is like throwing a bunch of things at a wall and seeing what sticks. A lot of Youtube marketers who 'guarantee' to get your video to Page 1 of Youtube are just throwing some likes, views and comments at it. Drip fed for a month of course. But they charge $$ for it. Can you do the same at a cheaper cost and see if it works? Probably yes. Do backlinks affect your video ranking? I tried it twice for a competitive niche. It didnt help my video rank.

The only thing that you need to care about on YouTube is watchtime the more your watchtime will be the more views it will get...more watchtime = more organic promotion

A link to a YouTube video is only valuable if it drives users to your video from outside of YT and they results in nice long views. There is no value in a link just because it exists. That being said, you can associate your website(s) with a YouTube channel after basic verification is done. This will allow PageRank from the websites to influence the channel and it's videos on YT. Associating junky websites wont get you anywhere.

Yes they can work, actually they will make your channel appear as an authority channel.
Try getting the videos embedded on different sites that will help in gaining longer and HR views.
