Ranking a big website with content VS a targeted website !

quick question : is it easier to rank a niche website with a only a few numbers of pages that are targeted to a specfic set a products ( for exemple keywboards ) ( with Exact match domain name for exemple keyboards.com)
or a website that has a lot of tutorials and gets updated with new content about computers keyboards , mouses ect ( with a domain name like computer.com/keyboards)
wich one is easier to rank , i have a keywords and i dotn know if a should start a Type 2 site , or a type 1 site ?!
requesting some help from the experts here , i know there are alot of them

Having a website with some pages that do define the niche is better and even easier way of ranking a page. However both the two methods will make it a bi difficult for you to enhance ranking. A website that fully conforms to the niche that you are targeting is easier to rank, the reason being you will be using the keywords almost every part of it.

Thanks for the reply , yes its going to be a review site fo a type of profuct , the downside of i website like this is that you cant expand it that much , for exemple having a domain as keywords.com is way less expandable than computers.com , whats your opinion on this ?

And you should start to build tier 1 first, then build tier 2 links to those tier 1. That's how it works. You can learn much about tier link building on this forum, just go search for it.

ranking target website gives you target traffic and good roi.

It doesn't matter, really. As it's the backlinks that will rank you, not the EMD name.
