Does Windows 10 throttle network connections, affecting SEO tools?

I just got me a super-sweet gaming desktop that I plan on using for my link building applications. I'm running into a new problem I've never had before, the machine is strong and disconnects the machine completely offline. When I try to detect the problem with solution center, it comes back as no problems were detected ... but the problem persists. I try to refresh pages in web browsers and it comes back as connection problems. This is also my first experience with Windows 10 so I am not familiar at all with it.

Does anyone know if Windows 10 throttles the threads or bandwidth, and if so is there a way to tweak it? I'm messing with the network settings a bit but don't see anything that looks like it will help, and Google isn't helpful when I'm not sure what I'm asking when it comes to BH tools.

Would appreciate any insight please, thanks.

Its not windows its your internet.

The software is taking all your bandwidth, that's why you have connection problems when the software is running.

I have this problem myself if I use too many threads. My internet is 143 mbps download and 12 mbps upload.

I forgot to mention though, I have another laptop and tablet connected online and they don't lose any connection at all. The computer I'm running the linking apps will continue to stay offline after I shut the applications down, stopping it from trying to access the net further. Any Internet browser won't connect either.

I need to completely reboot to get back online.

Could be bloatware, like gaming software that throttles up/down for gaming.

Which AV you are using?

kaspersky

By the way thanks to everyone for the help :)

But yeah using Kaspersky, a problem? I can't run 1000 threads with GSA SER proxy checker for instance.

I got same issue with kaspersky + windows 10

I disabled the kaspersky firewall, its started working smoothly. But after a day or 2 same issue, I added software in trusted section issue resolved for few days and reoccurs.

Didn't find permanent solution just removing software from trust list and adding it again and it works for few days.

Mailed kaspersky with issue details waiting for reply from them

Wow mate, i envy you. How come at a download and upload speed that high you still experience connection problems? Here the max speed available is 21mbps and its not for everybody

When any software is doing 150+ things at one time it will take up a lot of bandwidth.

I can run GSA at about 110 threads before I start getting internet problems.

Yeah I can run GSA at about that too with the current Internet plan I have. I am just now finding out that the all new 200 MBPS Internet is available in my 'hood. Just signed up hehe, I'm about to rock 1000+ threads on GSA when the bigger plan starts :)

Yes, I now know that it's the Internet plan that's at fault. Ran some tests and feel strongly that was what it is
