Hello from Sweden. Been curious about everything from pen-testing hacking to online money making for quite some time now, and now i'm ready to dig deep.

Hoping to learn as much as i can from you guys, both experts and newcomers. I'm going to focus on legit affiliate strategies to earn some extra income while studying. My dream would be to do this full time.

I'm always up for discussion, so feel free to pm me for what ever reason!

Pen-testing? Nice! In what area? I'm working towards getting into Infrastructure Security Pen Testing.

Get a decent laptop and throw Kali on it.

What's your skill in scripting? Better learn computer OS, CMS's, networks, HTML, JS, SQL, Ruby, and other depending on what you're getting into.

I have that classic problem, "too much reading, too little doing", so i know a little about most things regarding pen-testing. It started with hackthissite and i've read about all kinds of exploits every day since that (but still feels like i know nothing hehe). I've tried many plugins and browser addons and mostly done html editing and such newbie things. Done some tools like burp ect. I know some Java and C, some HTML and CSS. Nothing fancy.

I've yet to try kali because the dualboot problem i have on my hybrid-disk laptop kind of but me off. So right now i'm using virtual box Ubuntu to learn the OS.

So right now i'm kinda putting aside the pen-testing for a moment while i learn how to make some extra income. But my goal is still to some day "get good" at pen-testing. Would be awesome to discuss further some time!

If you're already learning about hacks - you're in the wrong path.Stick to the basics at first. In order to pen test you need to know these languages like the back of your hand. Go check out FCC (Free Code Camp) for front end HTML, CSS, JS. JQuery, API's. And TOP (The Odin Project) for Ruby. Both are free.
