My Instagram Experiment

Sup BHW? I've been a member/lurker on this site for a while. I messed with Twitter marketing many moons ago when MyLikes paid well and the Android follow glitch existed on Twiter (golden era if you ask me). I took a 3 yr hiatus and came back with an unsuccessful Twitter journey on FL. I created 20+ accounts with a good 12-13 niches (big mistake) and couldn't provide enough content to get solid organic growth (I was making these accounts for growth, not churn and burn!) ..Finals & summer classes were also kicking my ass and I definitely fell behind. But now I know my limits at least!

I've been growing IG accounts recently and I'm back with a new journey! I've learned from my previous mistakes and I'm starting with 4 accounts, 4 niches. This is to test the fastest growing niche. After I find the 2 fastest growing, I'll focus on those.

Account 1: 3028
Account 2: 889
Account 3: 931
Account 4: 51

TOTAL: 4,900~ (estimated)

Accounts are in order from oldest to newest. Account 1 is almost 3 weeks older than the other accounts. I'm growing them in FL and using strict settings. Account 4 was created yesterday so it's running the strictest settings so far. Most of my acocunts are due for unfollowing soon so the growth will be slow during next week

Nope. I do that part manually. I scrape the pics myself as well so I can get pics that are relevant. I automate 150 likes and try to do another 150 manually.

Account 1: 3458 (+430)
Account 2: 901 (+12) (Unfollowing)
Account 3: 1101 (+170)
Account 4: 143 (+92)

TOTAL: (+704) in 48 hrs.

Pretty good progress for 2 days I think. Account 2 has been unfollowing the past 2 days. Most accounts follow between 250 - 350 day so I think my follow back ratios aren't that bad for accounts that follow 500-700 every 2 days. Account 1 is the only account following 550 - 650/day so that explains the faster growth. 3 of my accounts are due for unfollowing tomorrow, so I'll post an update after I unfollow for the next 3-4 days. Also I think I'll come back with 1-2 additional accounts for the next update.

Update:

On vacation as of right now but my accounts have been unfollowing for the past 5 days. The followers have remained the same for the most part, so there's no substantial growth to report. Be back in a few days with the numbers

TOTAL: (+1,000~) in 36 hrs. (Account 4's growth is over a 7 day period)

Numbers are all estimates. I estimate down, not up. So I actually gained more than what the numbers say. This is pretty good, as you can see Account 4 has seen tremendous growth because it's been following for 6-7 days straight (only 250-350 follows/day)... The other accounts have been unfollowing 5-6 days and have started following recently.

Account 5 was added yesterday.

Observations

Again, all accounts except one are following 250-350/day. I'm pleased with the growth I've seen so far.

I'm also looking into how to monetize. It seems everyone is doing OGAds. I'm wondering should I do that or should I do S4S and then sell the accounts?

Collecting follower's emails will be more valuable than slapping cheap CPA offers (which will be short lived on Instagram ) . You can always sell big ticket items anytime you want in the future.

My pleasure. i have about 50 accounts doing their thing on autopilot as the most tedious part has been done. Will have to build websites based around those niches when time permits.
