Does anyone knows the what.what.what method?

I am claiming nothing.
But you are!
Oh yeah, the bio URL what.what.what spamming.

Great technique!
Back it up, or take it back.

I'm going to make a big deal out of this because I'm getting sick of seeing these bullshit theories around here. This was always a great place to discuss legitimate ideas - but then "respected" members such as yourself lead people in to thinking this crap works.

Let's talk about stuff that really works & quit wasting everyone's time.

I'm not taking back anything to please you.

I take into consideration who OP is, always with his BS, asking for money to help people. Mr. know-it-all helps himself this time.

Sounds intriguing since there's obviously some big accounts doing it. My theories would be:

A: It somehow bugs out the app and restricts people from scrolling etc.

B: It has something to do with related accounts and how they get connected.

C: It has something with SEO to do, maybe to show up when people search for "*niche* instagram" on google?

D: It does absolutely nothing except creating buzz and getting people to visit their profiles.

EDIT:

Upon further inspection i notice that every link is different before the "what.what" part.

I also noticed while visiting @thegoodvoice on my phone that the page is very laggy.

I think I get it now. Since the page is so laggy on the mobile client it makes it freeze whenever you follow/unfollow.

So to see the pages content you need to follow them so it shows up in your feed. And since the app froze when you followed them, a lot of tech illiterate people will get scared to visit their page and therefore just never unfollow.

It also seems that when you search their name and tap, it's so laggy that most people will keep tapping and end up tapping the follow button once the profile finally loads up. Happened to me, and it took me forever to unfollow them.

all the cool kids who dont realise they are recycling old pistakes are saying what what.

so it has become a trending hashtag for the cool kids to let every body else know they are cool.

it then became a piss take with some really smart individuals taking it to extreme. pages of what.what.what.what.

so some super interesting and smart individuals thought hmmm ill make it my bio because you know im so anti establishment check me out.

people copied him to prove that they dont follow the 'what what' clones and are like so individual and unique.

then along comes a marketer and wonders what this new exploit is. and is desperate to try it out.

its a perfect example of brand creation and creating a buzz with millenials.

get them to think they are so unique (even though everybody else is the same) and they will buy dogshit from you. dogshit to be cool, dogshit to be 'ironic' (even though thats not what ironic means but sure thats another millenial invention) but still they will all buy your dogshit.

What it actually did was bypass the character limit on links and therefore make your bio incredibly long. So people would follow to get the posts in the newsfeed instead.
I supposed it also created a lot of "buzz" like what you're talking about.

BE WARY!

I tried to copy one of the urls and it triggered an Instagram spam trigger. I had to send phone confirmation pin.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I would not try unless someone tells you what to do.

I actually finally created a BHW account to post this :p

Wow you guys can be really immature sometimes, what.what.what's your problem?

I don't understand why people still use this they are banning people now.
lmfao
