Apparently you don't need a website but I have my coaching clients just buy the domain and some content at first. No need to insert links - just get something up there and you can always add links later.
Doesn't matter as initially you won't have traffic anyway.

All you need is a domain name and you will get instant approval.
Everyone joins amazon affiliate program to monetize whatever.
You have 6 months to make a sale or else your account gets banned or whatever happens.
They check your listed site once you make your first sale.

You don't really get banned. You get deactivated and it's super simple to get it "reactivated".

Finally got my site up. Just have to go thru it and make a few adjustments.
I found a competitor's site with naked links. To me, it makes sense to cloak and track em.
Are your amazon links naked or cloaked and tracked with pretty link lite or linktrackr?

I just remembered success story of Wanda and Paula as amz affiliate, their product review site still exist but their blog haven't update since February.

I'm trying this method, slowing writing my content at the moment....I will be looking at writing extremely professional content, considering that every man and his dog is building amazon sites lately. I would guess that Google will start spitting most of them out in the coming months and just keep the cream with the best content.

Send Amazon support an email to re-activate.
I usually use naked links because I think there's power in the fact that people trust Amazon and don't mind clicking there to see the price or look at more reviews.
You review products you don't own by doing research (read other articles and read the reviews on Amazon).

Can I insert youtube videos into my articles? I mean, after the review of a product, can there be a video that gives the viewer more information? And is it legal to insert someone else's youtube videos without asking them? I think it is, and it will benefit video owners too.

You may want to reconsider PBNs. Seems google is cracking down on people using those services. https://searchenginewatch.com/sew/how-to/2374165/the-private-blog-network-purge-are-you-at-risk (Not my site, though i wish)
