How to create a flippa/empire Flippers Clone ?

Hi everyone,

I'd really like to create something like flippa or empire flippers where people can sell and buy websites (+ domains).
I've juste realized that EF uses wordpress. However, they've got their own theme and 2 private plugins.

But the design is bad, and it lacks functionnalities. For instance, it's not possible to charge a success fee. + All payments are kept outside the platform.

Would you guys now a plugin that could help me launch a marketplace like EF ? Thanks !

Merci Alain, but there are so many features inherent to buying/selling websites that are lacking (possibility to show the URL only to certain people, possibility to charge success fees,...)

Sites like Flippa is sprouting like crazy so you have to take special attention towards promoting your website.

Dont clone a business. Better start one with your own twists.

Look, if you want to have successful Flippa alternative you need to have a lot of money. You will need customized scripted (or fully custom script) and custom design and a lot of money to spend on advertising. Also you will need to offer smaller commissions than Flippa (like 5%). Also you can buy script and customize / add functions and create custom design. And don't forget to have about 5000$ for advertising (maybe less), but if you want success you will need to invest anyway.

- Buy brand domain name
- Customize script and find great designer to create good design for you
- For first XX offer postings without success fee and cheap featured ad
- Advertise on BHW, Digitalpoint, Google AdWords, Bing, Yahoo...

But without investing in advertising and without custom design you won't see any success and you will just throw money.
