Question about adsense on Youtube...

Hey there...

Does anybody know what happens to your revenue if the video gets taken down? Say you have a video that gets 500,000 views and you've generated around $500 from adsense on it, but then it gets taken down for copyright or for inappropriate content or something. Do you still get the money you earned when it was up? Providing that your adsense account wasn't banned too, of course.

Anybody know?

nope, if it is song for exemple, earnings will go to the owner of that song, so for similar videos, you can post them for a dya and quickly take them off before they are taken down by youtube.

I think the money would only go to the owner of the song after the video has been identified by Youtube's copyright system, but the money doesn't get backdated from the views before then. I was reading something about that the other day on a music forum. If that's the case, what happens to the revenue generated before then?

if video is against youtube TOS, the money will be refunded to the advertisers, trust me, google cares about his advertisers alot.
