Hello,

I'm trying to rank for several keywords, however, my rankings keep bouncing up and down constantly. The image below will illustrate what I mean.

As you can see, my rankings go from top 10 to 200+ every 2 hours.

When I search for "Google dance" on Google it tells me that the term Google Dance is an outdated term that does not apply anymore. However, I'm seeing this happen to all the keywords I'm trying to rank for.

Is Google Dance still a relevant term, and if it is, then is it a bad or a good sign? My rankings have been improving during this dance. For example, the keyword in the screenshot above started at around position 26 and now it is around position 10 which gives me a feeling that it is beneficial to my rankings. I'm curious when my rankings will settle down to a stable position though.

Thanks for anyone that can give me some insight on whether Google dance is still a valid concept in 2016, if it's beneficial to my rankings or a bad sign, and how long it will take before my rankings become stable.

Best regards,

Fheaky.

Yes. Google dance is still a thing. It is a good thing! Enjoy it.

These guru blogs are the same people saying SEO is dead

Thanks guys. Glad to hear it's a good thing. Any ideas on how long it will take before rankings stabilize?

Generally the rankings comes to a stable position in about 2 weeks or so. I have faced the same thing for many of my websites, it's an indication of increase in serps so congrats.

Yup. It's just a Google dance dude. It's a good sign. It'll take some time to settle down.

Google dance is nothing but rebuilding its rankings for a 3 to 5 day period. Or it will take more than a week. Don't worry about this. It's a good start for your site.

Google dance is still alive and well. I look over rankings of 100+ websites and 500+ keywords and can tell you that very few keyword are safe from Google dance/Google flux (AKA).

Like a couple of comments have said, don't listen to blogs or the gurus. While some information they say, I admit, can shine a light on an idea. Most of it is shit. "Link building is dead", "SEO is dead", "Spam doesn't work". If you say any of those 3, you're an idiot or ignorant.

ahhh same happen to me , i settle this with some trick though..

any updates?

I didn't knew about Google dance but I had experience as you had SERP for your website but for sure raking will stable soon.

What it is is a recalibration of the rank as spiders post new info about the backlinks.

Thank you, this is exactly what I came to here to find. After a link building campaign and all intraday, my KW moves from 14 to >100 and back to 11 and then >100. Hopefully, this will stabilize in a week or so and I'll land in a better place.
