Hi, I have a gaming hack generator site and it got a thin content penalty. It's probably because there is only one passage of text and it's about 300-400 words long. I then spun the passage 3 times and made 15 web 2.0s and put the spun articles on there. And now the web 2.0s are ranking.

I want to submit a reconsideration request but will it get approved even though my site is a fake generator site?

I'm thinking of adding an about, privacy policy, disclaimer, and terms and conditions page and then removing the content and adding 2-3 quality articles. Will this be enough to get my site back?

Why you even think about submitting a reconsideration request? It is an obvious fake site so you have pretty much 0 chance of it getting recovered.

Yeah I know, that's my thinking.

If I start this site new how can I avoid getting a penalty like this in the future? Maybe have 3 unique articles and for my web 2.0s I write a new article to have spun?

Also throw in a terms, about and privacy policy?

I want to make sure I don't see this penalty again

Thin content penalty is not about what people usually think. It is more about content not providing value to the visitors than the quantity of it.

Your best bet is to forget about the site , build a new one. And since the web2.0s are ranking, link each of them to the new money site. That should provide a nice ranking boost.

Stop scamming people, dude.

Learn the best seo strategies and stop getting those kind of penalties bro. :)

I'm most likely going to make a new site but how do I avoid this penalty in the future? This is the first time I got it. On one of my other sites that ranked I had content over 1k words so maybe that's it, I need longer content

I had a website with 50x 500 word articles in similiar niche. Same penalty given - you can't avoit it. Play with it or leave it.

There's definitely a way to prolong the live length of these sites. I'm just pissed cause I have a similar site in this niche that is set up the same way as this site that got penalized. So I have to quickly go back and add more content before I get another penalty.

Does anyone have any solid tips on how to avoid a thin content penalty?

The way to prolong the life of these sites is not to rely on G for your traffic, or if so to do so indirectly. This type of site will rarely last very long, and will almost always be given penalties if/when reviewed manually. Perhaps the key to success in your model is to rely on the web 2.0's which rarely get penalties to drive traffic somewhere else where you can ultimately send the visitor to your final lander without having to directly rely on "ranking your money site."

Think about it. Why continue to try to rank sites that won't last long? Be more creative with how you get whatever traffic you can garner from G to finally hit your money site. This is not the kind of money site to try to directly rank, but it is certainly the kind of site you can make good money with.

Looks like lot many users received this penalty today. Received on 1 of my site.

why begin with thin content anyway? If it's game niche then just get a 1000 word article written and put on the page.

its always going to say some thing like thin content or pure spam

but the real reason is because its a fake site basically

if youre in the game hack niche then you should be used to it

Few of my sites like this got hit recently wasn't thin content though, maybe just manual but one thing I have noticed and heard a lot is many of these sites are being penalized lately.
