I'm currently looking to hire someone to create a web scraper (as a web app). Using Nokogiri would make it easiest to integrate with another web app I'm working on, but I'm open to other options as well.

Can you provide more details about the websites that you want to scrap ? I'm make bot scraper with python and I can scrap any website as you need. I work with all types of data and I can store the scraped data whenever you want.

I would highly suggest you go with Scrapy(python) or just used requests with lxml/bs4. It is great you want to integrated with your backend RoR project, but there is a lot more support with scrapers done in python. Just a thought from someone that has done scraping for many many years.
