Amazon question on no gift options

I'm slowly starting to ship more from amazon, but I've noticed that more and more items
are becoming "no gift options available" which means that you can't omit the price on the package/slip.

Why can't they simply omit the price on the slip? Obviously, we as dropshippers do not want the customers to see that we paid only $7 for something and free shipping but they paid us $11 in ebay.
That would piss off some customers I would think and might lead to my first negative, so I'm concerned.

My first couple orders had the gift option available, or I'd just email the seller and tell them to mark it as gift and omit the price which they did. It seems that the ones that says "fulfilled by amazon" mostly don't have the gift options available. Why is it? Why can't they do such a simple thing as leave the price out?

What do you guys do as dropshippers? Do you only look to sell items that have gift option available or do you risk it and have amazon ship the item to your customer with the cheaper price on it? Pardon me, but that just seems really stupid doesn't it? How to work around this?

I have not had this come up as an issue yet. Ive sold probably 10-12 times a couple diferent products that dont have the gift option. Ive never had the customer complain or even mention it. I can check, Im pretty sure a few have left happy feedback infact.

So you are saying that as an amazon seller, one way to hopefully ward off ebay/amazon dropshippers is to not allow for gift option so that the prices will be visible and hopefully get us into trouble with the customers?

I can totally understand that. If I was a seller on Amazon or Ebay with my own products and then people were ordering from me to resell it for more profit, I suppose that wouldn't be ideal. But at the same time, a sale is still a sale. What does it matter what someone wants to do with the product once they bought it off you? If they can jack up the price and sell it for more just earn a couple dollars, then more power to them right? You still make your sale and get your profits.

But I don't disagree with you. I would probably be the same way. But since I'm not the actual maker/producer/seller of the products, I'm on the other side as a dropshipper and so my view right now is biased

Fingers crossed. Yes, I as well have sold a handful of stuff that didn't have the price omitted and so far nobody has said anything, but it's probably only a matter of time before someone will see they spent twice the amount of money and then leave a negative lol. I think that most people get so excited when a package arrives that they almost never look at the slip or paper because they just want to rip open the box and get the goodies they ordered. Hopefully they keep doing that lol.

The problem could by 100% avoided by not purchasing from Amazon sellers that don't offer gift shipping.

Agreed, self-explanatory. That is the simple answer. I just wondered why so many items don't have the gift option available. Does it cost more money or something for the sellers? Or do they intentionally put it as "no gift option available" because they don't want other people to dropship their products? Again, a sale is still a sale. So I tend to think it might be another reason. In my most recent sale, an item did not have the gift option available, but what I do is I always message the seller anyways and simply ask them if possible to not show the price. The seller wrote back and told me not to worry, the price is never shown to the person I'm sending it to. Interesting.

On Amazon I don't have it just for the sake of I don't make any more money from offering it, but if I accidentally ship the invoice then customers might get angry.

It's not. I occasionally screw with people who try to arbitrage my stuff if they get out of line, like lifting my pics without authorization.
