Passive Income through Youtube

G5YYFlY

Half month update: Stats all up to date to the the 15th of July.

Earnings: $597.10
CPM: All over the place

Also placed really well for a key search term for the Turkey Military Coup. Managed to get monetization enabled for 1and a half days (60k views) before it was disabled for a manual review. YouTube is really sensitive if you anything about guns, murders and anything to do with Isreal. Literally one was just Jeremy Corbyn speaking badly about Isreal and couldn't monetize. One of the reasons I don't do US politics as it would be more tricky to get everything monetized (not impossible though).

Once YouTube Red launches in the UK it will probably help my revenue by increasing UK revenue earned by 5%. Thats the same ratio that's I get from the US.

Your getting great conversions for the fact that it is purely news watchers.

They usually aren't click happy per se.

How are you setting up your ads distribution?
Are you using random three methods or have it set up per video per ad placement?

Ie skip able, in video cards, pre ad videos??

Thanks for the update!!!
I am also having same issue on monetization as am doing US news on politics and related news.
I just uploaded some videos, then I seriously optimized one of them to get more clicks by using a very good image, so far I am still getting more views from that particular video.
But all my videos later became ineligible for monetization, What's the best around this issue?

You have to name the title discretely about the incident. For example if it was some police brutality you could put 'Police Incident in Texas' instead of 'Police Killing in Texas'. I think its mainly the title that stops monetization and then it may be the tags. Everything else in the US should be fine like Gun rights. That's why I try to avoid putting anything to do with guns and killings on my channel as its hard to monetize. Also if you put 'Reaction to Police in Texas' that helps to avoid exactly saying it. A reaction to it shouldn't stop monetization.

If you look at 'Advertiser Friendly' page on YouTube you'll see why they were cancelled. I believe you can put them in for a manual review as well to enable monetization (click on the yellow $ button).

I'm putting all 3 methods per video and then putting in mid roll ads and ads at the end for video's over 10 minutes.

Last month I was getting crazy click rate of 5% - 6% (I think it was due to political advertising at the time) now its gone down to 3.5% which I understand is still a good rate.

Yes with the Brexit vote you got some viral money for sure.

I had the same in 13, during Harlem shake days but I banked big time so you always have to be on the hunt for viral content.

Keep it up man good job man...

I don't think YouTube only uses the title to determine monetisation, they also use the content wordings to know since all the videos uploaded resides on their server.

Turkey Issue made me around $15 for 70k views, though then again it was a 15 second video...

Loved reading through this youtube journey, looks like it's getting better and better!

Giving it a try as well - my VA will be on it from tomorrow on :). I just tried it - found some channels, that are doing this, downloaded couple of their videos and reuploaded them (just for testing purposes). One can really gain lots of views easily - got 8 views in an hour on a brand new channel, with only 1 video. See the potential in this.

loving your Journey!

are you using an old , personal youtube account for your journey or did you create a new one ? i was thinking of using my 7 year old one as it already has a good rep and monetisation is enabled already.

on new accounts, is monetization option always available or do you have to unlock it?

think im gonna do something similar as a side project, have always wanted to earn from youtube but i am too self concsious to make videos of myself, and too artistically retarded for animations.

It was another channel that was just blank for like 2 years, had to enable monetisation, only takes 2 minutes to enable it.

Curve proved that you are doing better. Youtube channel running is a profitable task but risky too. I have 3 years but failed to rich the goal. Just consumed lots time and efforts.

Can you say more about how you optimize your YouTube channel, and what type of video you downloaded?

i just applied for adsense on my new channel, they need to review the channel before it is approved. how did this work for you? did they approve it even though you had BBC's videos on your channel?

Really great work buddy!!! My congratulations) I want to do YouTube niche too, but there is some doubt))) Can I ask you some questions along the way?

Yeah sure, just PM or post questions on here.

Hmm... I don't think they had to do this for me although it may just be my memory. I believe its just linking your adsense account to YouTube. On the YouTube website, I don't seem to remember any waiting period.
