Are fake likes worth it?

So we may all know that there are apps that can give likes.. some consider them "fake likes". I was curious if they would help get more exposure or if they are just a waste of time. For some reason my recent posts are getting better but yet get less likes. Could it be the time that I upload the images or is it the new way Instagram feeds function.

Fake followers/like aren't worth it at all in my opinion. You're only fooling yourself and ruining your engagement.

depends on if you're doing it to get top on the tags you are using?
if you are then I would do it once you post it but don't do it to your account if it has a decent following as I've tested this out and after a long period of time it does and will kill your engagement
I did it to my accounts when I first made them to get it off the ground and to reach top tags it got me some followers but not many so I would just stick to what your doing and work hard at it.
one of your posts might just go viral you never know? not to say don't use it but just a thought.

It would help you get to the top of hashtags, but that is essentially not bringing you anything, so no, it is not worth it.

Each of my posts would get about 5 to 15 likes normally and I boosted a new post with 50 likes to make it look more popular. Needless to say, that post got shared a bit and I ended up getting over an additional 30 likes than average from real users.

So, yes, it can be beneficial. If you get a reasonable amount in relation to your average number then it will look natural and could work in your favor.

I did, and I was letting him know, if he didn't already, of that concept. I'm sure the concept would apply to likes on photos as well - more social proof = more chance they'll like, in my experience at least.

No, it doesnt apply to likes. People doesnt like it because a ton of others liked it.

Powerlikes is a new buzz word in the IG game. How will you ever be able to get 2k accounts with a ton of followers and engagement to like your photo, and only your photo, not to say it should be within the first 10-15 minutes? I cant see how you would even be able to do that with 20 accounts.

It will only help you to get on top of hashtags, and the only likes and comments coming from that are botted accounts, you can easily try this yourself by uploading a photo and putting an irrelevant hashtag(s) and youll see you are getting some likes and maybe comments from accounts that a obviously botted and their comments are usually only an emoji or "nice photo".

To a certain degree, yes, they can help. By jump-starting an Instagram account with a drip-feed of fake followers, you can create social proof and create a sort of bandwagon. You'll want to then post engaging content that encourages virality, and ideally with your account name in the content itself.

Once you get the snowball rolling, however, fake followers and likes will only be detrimental.

Yeah, I know, all of them won't be powerlikes. So I will need about 200k+ followers (which I will get only with follow/unfollow method and SFS) to get in explore page without buying fake likes.
