I don't understand how running multiple IG accounts can be profitable

Considering all the work that goes into it e.g. buying proxies, SIM card, setting up automation settings, finding content etc, and especially due to the risk of them getting banned, I don't know why people here are trying to make money through it.

Instead it seems a far better option to build just 1 or 2 accounts and grow them organically through good, preferably unique content, and then monetize.

churn and burn methods are working better for me, cause more accounts = more money and more niches to cover.
also building only 1-2 accounts and making them authoritative does not mean that IG won't ban that accounts. so you are always under the risk of ban.

Factoring in just a proxy and SIM, 1 IG acc would cost at least $10-15 for 3 months use. And there are probably more charges. Could you really make significantly more than that with it, considering the time you use to build it? Hats off to you if you can. I've been browsing this forum for 4 weeks and I can't see it happening. Maybe you are craftier or more experienced than me.

It just seems so much simpler to me to make 1 acc and make it quality. I can't see why it would get banned if you are just using 1 smartphone/sim/cautious automation settings.

You can make 5 accounts for like £3 in the UK. £1 for 5 sims and 1 proxy for all 5 accounts.

I am thinking big, with one big acc. I am really inspired by Dota Watafak: https://www.youtube.com/c/dotawatafak/videos - 1 mil-ish views on daily vids. I would far rather put out content like this for one acc daily, than be running dozens of marketing accs and whatever schemes you have going for them. Each to their own though!

If you really want a GREAT example of why multiple accounts are good, take a look at BuzzFeed. They got over hundreds of accounts and they maintain way too many niches and they're the #1 viral website. Why do you think is that?

Except a proxy can support 3 accounts, a SIM card can verify 5 accounts, automation settings can be copied and pasted, content can be scraped in a single day and the risk of bans are the same.

It's a LOT less work than you think it is. And really, all it takes is a single shoutout to cover 1-2 month's expenses.

Depends on whether you can create one of those freak accounts that get 1k per day. Odds are you won't.

Let's say you have average positive growth of 30K per year. If you have a single account, that's 30K people. If you have 3 accounts and for whatever reason they grow half as fast, you have 45K or 50% more results over the same time period.

5 accounts? 75K or 150% more reach.
10 accounts? 150K or 400% more reach.
And so on.

Instagram might not be around forever. So, you'll need to make the best use of the months/years it will be and the simplest way to do that is to use multiple accounts.

They sell huge campaigns which can sometimes include shootouts. I've done a few as part of a campaign from Vice Media. Payout is pretty nice.

Its become extremely hard to grow huge accounts organically. But there are still ways. I think video is the future of organic growth. I spent the last 3 years growing organic accounts very successfully and monetized extremely well. Organic growth's gone to shit with Facebook messing things up. But monetization is still pretty good with big accounts.
