Should I Disavow Hacked Links?

So about a year ago, I discovered that my main site was being highjacked by some sites in China. What they would do is hack a high ranking site and then place an updating copy of my site in a subdirectory. When you visited the through a direct link or from Google, where you were redirected to the Chinese site. If you visited the site as the Google user agent, you were saw a copy of my site.

I contacted the owners of the hacked sites to let them know about the hacks and most of them cleaned them up.

I just started to dig through my "Links to Your Site" in Google Console and discovered that some of the hacked sites are in my list of sites that link to me. The links have been removed from the hacked sites but they remain in my profile.

I don't have a manual action listed for my site. I am wondering is it negatively affecting my ranking despite no manual action listed? Should I disavow the links? Does anyone know more about the hack that was used against me and how to protect against it?

why would someone go to this effort?

disavow it cant hurt, but im puzzled about the whole scenario

The hacked sites ranked in Google and sold counterfeit goods. I wondered if it is one of my competitors using some negative SEO scam but many of my competitors had the same scam pulled on them.

I'd be safe and get rid of them. Cant do any harm.

I do not trust in the fact that it helps to disavow the links. It will show the Google that something goes wrong. Do not show that.

that's a bit daft though its not like he is saying he created the and now his tactic is not working, someone else has created them for nefarious reasons, so unless you are a hacker who doesn't want google to find your metod why would you be worried?
