Big engagement drop..

Since yesterday my account received a big engagement drop..
I always had 1K likes on my post after 24hours
Well the post from yesterday got a lot less then normal.
The first pic got around 650likes.
Then I posted a vid which got 492likes and 1000 views (normally 2K views)
At last I posted a pic which got 600likes
Is this a new algorithm kicking in or did something else happen..?
And do you guys have this aswell since yesterday?

One day of posting which doesn't do average is not enough to know what can be the potential reason, without asking the trivial questions if you reduced quality, posted at other times than normal etc? I'd wait and see what happens for your posts today and tomorrow, and then lets discuss if the engagement doesn't recover.

Alright I will try it today and tommorow aswell and will post the stats here, times were the same and quality should be the same aswell

My engagement yesterday (7.5.2016) was a lot lower than normal, too. I assumed it was possibly due to people traveling / being offline after the July 4th holiday. We'll see what today looks like.

There are many reasons why this could happen. You have to make sure you post at regular times and quality content, also like someone said bear in mind the holiday so maybe people weren't around. Make sure you do everything the same way you did before and see what will be happening in the next few days. Only then you'll be able to see the reason.

hmm could be the holidays indeed.
I posted a high quality pic 2hours and 30min ago it's at 380likes right now while normally the pic is at 500likes in 2hours or less. Wonder if it's all from holiday or there is another reason.
I also got blocked by instagram for unfollowing ( probably a 24hour block) could this have anything to do with it?

No, they are not related. What is related however, is an increase in engagement while following people. So if you are comparing the engagement to when you also followed, that can be your reason.

It's not I kinda had 1K likes ( or atleast 800) on the last month besides yday and today

I don't know, I personally think it can be related. Whichever way continue doing whatever you did before and just wait it out and see what happens. If it continues then you'll need to think of a solution.

don't check day by day ..... see it over a week if there is a change. its always possible that the time was not good or it was just a bad pic ....
