QUESTION # 1
I create a variation listing of shirts in sizes of S, M, L with qty of 5 each
Someone buys 1 of the L.
The L quantity is now 4 (others are still 5)
how do I automatically update the L qty back to 5?

QUESTION # 2
I created a sale starting Tuesday 6:00 PM ending next Tuesday 6:00 PM
The sale now ended
How do I automatically restart the sale?

Custom php script using the ebay selling management API. Probably get someone on freelancer to make one for you.

Im pretty sure there are no built in settings in the ebay UI to do those tasks for you, but I could be wrong.

But really unless you are running thousands of listings, just revise the ones that sell each day back up to whatever inventory quantity you want.? I have a few regular sellers that I do manually like that

Thats interesting, I had that in mind but wasn't too sure if possible, do you know roughly how much it should cost?

I'm really trying to save as much time as possible

I bet if you search freelancer youll find some developers who have basically what you're looking for already to go.

Price is unpredictable and depends on the freelancer. ...go for the non-north American or euro guys to get the best deal obviously.

Im a fan of outsourcing this type of thing too

Also what you're asking for is super super basic, so chances are they will have a listing management script with a lot more features than you may need or think you need.

I recommend creating a gig for whoever you find, setting your milestone at a low $$$. Propose you project privately to the freelancer not a public gig. Almost certain the freelancer will accept it, to have a new job and then will request/negotiate more money for the final product.

well yes just yesterday I found a tool on the eBay apps page two different tools that do EXACTLY what I was looking for
They are called Quantity Manager and Ki Markdown
I can't believe I spent so much time manually refreshing quantities and restarting sales not knowing these tools ever existed
I'm now looking to automate the entire order processing so I'll definitely be looking for gigs to help with that!

Question 1: You can set up a cron job or a script to reset the quantity of size L back to 5 if it drops below that.Question 2: Unfortunately, eBay doesn't offer an automatic restart feature for sales. You'll need to manually relist or recreate the sale.
