Passive Income through Youtube

Thats the issue isn't it... long term. All well and good and not too difficult (certainly not easy) but long term I can't see it working.

Good luck though, are you re-recording and then same title and no purchased views all organic?

Sorry for the long time away from this thread but it's time to update. The channel is growing really well and now i'm averaging around $40's a day recently. Also all the traffic is organic, no buying views or subscribers.

KD6Odle

Peak was uploading a one-off tv debate. The rest is just doing the average shows plus adding a few more to upload. Also most views I get are nearly 100% not copyrighted as I have a good idea what shows are okay to upload and one's that are not. Against those who say that it's not long term is that are a lot of channels which do the same sort of things and are in the 2 - 5 million view range.

June:
Subscribers: 1350
Revenue: $778.62
Views: 420,555

Goals for July:
Views: Would like 1 millions but the 750k view range is more likely.
Subscribers: Get to around 3000
Revenue: Get over the $1000 mark

Total made from the start (2 and a bit months):
$928.79

Amazing !
I love youtube journey, I'm actually building 2 channel too but it's relatively hard because i'm not gaining any view. My videos are made by myself, 2h work per day for 1 video but I know I will succeed !

All organic traffic, its just about posting videos and consistency.

Most of the source of the videos are 'suggested video's' around 55% - 60%.

That's mostly to do with my niche of news because generally you search or type for a news event/story instead of the news provider.

Hey,

Nice Journey! Keep it up!

What programs are you using to screen capture the videos?
Can you please give an example of an event/story your uploading?

Do you remove watermarks?

Thank you

Hi,

I use Movavi Screen Capture.
My audience is mainly around UK news/politics so for example I would upload candidates for the next Prime Minister.

I do not remove the watermark as usually it's impossible to. For example Sky News have a 24/7 stream on YouTube. When its uploaded it looks like its come off a tv channel (which it has) so its not really an issue.

So, youtube says that for a video to be eligible for monetization, you need to own all necessary rights to use it commercially.

By recording Sky News for example (without removing the watermark), do i have all necessary rights in order to upload it?

I am just trying to understand how things work.

Thanks

YouTube don't check if you have all the rights when uploading it. All the news channel its fine to upload because 1. Public Interest 2. Fair Use Policy.

Also in the rare instance that it does get copyrighted, the channel doesn't get shut down they just monetize that individual video and everything is fine.

Here are some YouTube channel examples that do the same that I do:
- Liarpoliticians
- RobinHoodUKIP
- Scott Arthur

so : where you find your videos to upload
can u pm me to give you my channel url and check if its good ?
and how get traffic when you tarted the channel

Look at the channels that I stated were similar to mine. It's basically the same as that. You can see what programs there using as well.
If your in the UK then all main TV channels can be streamed online such BBC iPlayer (you can just proxy it). For example one program you can use it Question Time.

When you ask how did I get the traffic when I started, I'm not sure what you mean by that. I just uploaded video's and then eventually the traffic came. It's just putting them video's out and gaining more exposure as you have more of a video backlog.

Really good information. Thank you.

Will you be able to share with us how many videos did you uploaded? (Just an approximation, not the real number).

Regards

It averages out to 3-5 videos a day (just cut up parts of a program)

I've uploaded 209 videos in 63 days.

Nice! It seems that you know what your doing! And the amount of videos you uploaded is also very good.

Keep as informed of the statistics!

Good luck on your journey!

Hey, I'm loving this progress!
On how many do you have atm?

The potential in this is huge, do you do any research before posting or do you just upload what ever you see first?
