So I started an authority site not long ago, however It's been way way harder to rank than expected even though the top 5 for my keywords are ONLY forum threads with no backlinks.

I have been making 3-20$/daily for the past week after doing some tests with newer products within my niche, apparently they work really really well and convert perfectly, while older products were hardly getting me any sales even though their search volume is bigger.

I'm confident I can bring a constant 20-50$/daily by pumping new articles daily on the new products however I'm scared of it because all the traffic are by doing manual advertising (I advertise once and it's done for life) so if things go wrong I can easily lose the majority of my traffic and since only 20% of my total traffic comes from SEO then I'd be fucked.

And considering I didn't have this traffic before, the 20% from SEO hardly converts.

Improve your SEO. Find other traffic source like social. Automate your "advertising" so you can do more of it.

The product advertising is limited so I can do it manually for each article.

Social traffic isn't that great for this niche either.

I am trying to improve my SEO but I just don't know why I'm not ranking even though I have everything my competitors don't, be it links, be it referring domains, be it onpage seo, etc

Are your competitors' sites older? That's one thing you can't easily fake.

Yes they are, but at the same time they're just forum threads, with hardly any keyword density, and only 1-5 backlinks at most, meanwhile I have 100+ links to a single article I've been trying to rank, all of these are decent quality, nothing great but not bad either, onpage is also on point.

Something is completely wrong over here. Try to find out why forum threads are "better" than your site.

Only reason I cna find is domain age and domain authority. And there's nothing I can do about those since it's impossible to overthrow these, however it should be easy to dominate a keyword where there's only forum threads

Social signals. Great effect. Hard to do harm.

I thought social signs hardly matters? It's not like the forum threads have them either.

All my articles have at least 1 forum share + 1g+, 1 stumbleupon, it's nothing but it's a start, the ones I'm trying to rank have at least 10+ twitters and fb shares however noticed no difference tbh.

Promoite it in social, i think it can imrpove
I don't think they matter that much and already have some for the articles I'm trying to rank for, while my competitors have none.

Social always matters nowadays tbh. Have you tried joining FB groups within your niche or maybe groups that have people that would maybe be interested in your products? Have you checked your competitors social signals?Followed their followers, and so on and so forth. Like someone else said above, trying it out definitely won't hurt, IMO it would only help to bring you some extra traffic and help your ranking efforts in the long run.

Main keyword is onyl 1k searches and it's still stuck at #3-4 with a whooping 204 backlinks from 100 referring domain and the competitors are forum threads with 3 links.

This is disgusting how are you even supposed to rank when these sites are basically monopolizing shit like this
