Monetizing 30,000 unique visitors/month

Hey there,

This thread is about a Sports website that gets 30,000 unique visitors/month. We've tried GoogleAdsense, but it hasn't really brought in more than 10$/day and other than that we havent monetized it much.

Our Facebook gets 20,000 likes every week and we get about 5,000,000 post engagements every week as well.

Any tips on what websites or services to use?

I would try selling ESPN sport packages with cable or satellite or something there are a few ways to sell dish and direct tv. they may even have sports streaming services that offer affiliate sales.

i do agree amazon would be a good one. you could see jerseys and sports products

I am not sure how well your customer data is organized. But it would be good to start data mining your online fans and get location/demographic data to see what products would best be sold to them

You could also do a giveaway for game tickets/ some kind of memorabilia to start a good email list and get the customers to give you that info themselves.
but there is plenty of marketing software that does the same thing, so take your pick

SO what? 10 bucks for 30 k is a good average for lazy people not testing and splittesting adsense. be glad.

what about list building? and monetizing list?

if you put amazon on the site, split test with adsense. sometimes they compliment, sometimes one kills the other cause you loose traffic.

to be honest. i would try to build a list and KEEP adsense.

what you are now doing is the typical noob fault, trying 3 differnet things at once . and noob fault 2: not monitoring it.

I can do that. cause I have no interruptions. 99% out there cant.

Definitely offer private pay per post services and I believe a lot of sports related businesses would be interested in the exposure you have.
Matter fact I work with a few clients that could really benefit from your influence depending on which type of sports you do promote.

Sell sport t-shirts and equipment, along with betting affiliate

Some affiliate marketing or items related to sports would probably work well, especially if you can tie it in with your content. Don't sacrifice the content that brought in the traffic to make a penny though.

Reach out to Kodi custom plugin creators, IPTV resellers etc most of them stream ALL sporting events so would have an interest in all of your traffic

your adsense CPM seems to be good if your only getting 30,000 uniques per month.
but how many pageviews do you get per month?
