I don't see why 5b is so necessary? Isn't 5a enough for you to make money?
Perhaps it is. I have had some success with meathead's other method, which relied on the same traffic generation method, not enough to make a living on and not quite passive. The question is whether it's enough to either make more money or make a similar amount of money with less work.
Okay. I will write it in the next week.
As a general thought, anyone who is still waiting will be much more likely to fail. It is not the right attitude.
I would have been better off charging for this information rather than giving it away for free in my main time, the attitude of a lot of people around here is very poor.
As I said, no one has a right to demand anything of anyone, certainly not a way to make money. I was not attempting to guilt or pressure you. But people have been asking for 5b for a long time and you seem puzzled as to why. As someone who is neither a full time marketer but also not a complete noob, I thought I might chime in.

In my inexpert opinion, the reason many are failing at promoting on forums is the same reason I previously failed: niche selection.
If you're thinking of a niche as strictly meeting a certain set of parameters(i.e: $50-$1000 price, 50 amazon reviews etc.), you fail to give thought to who your actual buyers are. And if you're unlucky to stumble into a nice with consumers who are highly knowledgeable about the product and very internet savvy, it will be impossible for you to self-promote, unless you have a big enough bankroll to buy
stellar content. Try going on a hunting forum and promoting your gear, they'll see you coming a mile away.
In my opinion the key to making this work as a noob on a bootstrap budget is to try and sell a medium-high ticket item to buyers who meet the following criteria:
a)middle aged people
b)aren't very internet savvy and not immunized to our wily ways
c)are NOT part of a passionate community centered on the thing you're selling(because then they'll know more than you and your site will be of little value)
