How do you determine a price for a client?

Tomorrow I'm going to meet up with a client here in my country Croatia and I will do SEO for him, on page and probably off page. My problem is now how to determine how much would I charge him for.

I know how much to charge foreign clients, but here standards,payments are lower.

So what I wanna know, how much do you charge your clients for on page services, off page services, social media managing? Or at least if you could tell me how do you determine the price? Per hours? Per project etc?

Well most competition charge 70$ for the onpage seo on then 50-200$ for backlinking monthly which is really low, but I guess I will have to start like that then move to bigger clients

You don't have to charge the average price.

You can really take whatever price market is willing to pay for your service.

For example, If can serve only 10 clients and I've 1000 prospects.

I would let them bid and take the clients who are willing to pay me the highest amount for my work.

Not all business is good business and not all clients are worth the same!

Since, you don't have other prospects (no alternative), your are already disadvantaged in your negotiation.

Probably, you'll have to start much lower than the market price.

You can start like that. See if you can get about $300 a month. That's $30 more than your competition. Throw in something "complimentary" If you like to justify the extra money. Set yourself apart from your competition. Provide a service none of them do, or something that all of them do but better. Go the extra mile. You want to make him think he is getting the best deal and best service with you. Make it seem like he'd be nuts not to take your deal.

If that doesn't work then hit him over the head, take his wallet and run like hell.
