Top 10 Lists In What Order?

Hi, Let's say you're making a "10 Best [products]" type of article promoting 3 products on #1, #2 and #3.

You make the top from #10 to #1 (where you promote the product) or from #1 to #10?



What happens in amazon case? If you promote 10 products on amazon you make the top from #1 to #10 or from #10 to #1?


What do you guys think it's better?

It depends on the products and your audience but generally I think it is better to go from worst to best (10 - 1) that way people read longer and spend more time on the page.

I would still reverse it and save the best product until last.

Do a google search, I am sure people must have carried out a case study on this.

A lot of factors are always taken into considerations but I think I will be able to share my experience and what I believe is the best practice for me. Always find your target audience and when done, start from the worst case scenario. I do so because as time goes, the audience will want to get more from you. In fact, they expect that you will give a better service than the previous hence 10-1.
