Local seo was where i got my first success as well, back in 2013 when i was finally able to achieve rank #1 in Google. That moment is something i will remember for the rest of my life. I think, that's where my real craze for seo started as well.

What other tools do you use beside Scrapebox?

You know, there is so much info on SEO and most of it is generic and bullshit. 100% PBN is king and very effective. Also good expired domains are gold.

It's a pay to play game. You have to spend a bit of money on some infrastructure that will allow you to leverage your time. Scrapebox is a must in this respect. I've spent maybe about $150 all up so far on acquiring some tools/infrastructure but it's very very worth it and honestly hard to get anywhere without it. When I started I really didn't want to spend any money, I just wanted to bootstrap by earning something small and using that to buy tools and upgrade. It was only after I realized that it's a pay to win game of skill that I studied harder and acquired the tools I needed.

What other tools do you use beside Scrapebox?

Mostly scrapebox at the moment but I did spend money to buy the premium plugins as they are worth it.

I also bought SERPmojo app which is awesome. Every day I wake up and it has checked and recorded my rankings and I can view the graph over time to watch the effectiveness of my campaign.

Here is a recent screenshot from SERPmojo tracking my main keyword. The jump from 17th to 9th was the result of adding a single PBN backlink from a DA34 expired domain that I picked up. I've been waiting a week or so to see if this ranking is stable or whether whether the Google dance will kick in but it looks pretty solid to me.

Very slow and deliberate campaign on this site so I can test a single strategy at a time and measure the results. So far, so good.

I've been extremely busy over the last two weeks selling an apartment I own and thoroughly researching investment strategies that make sense for the markets I operate in. So I haven't done anything new on this project to push it higher than 9th in during that period but with a significant windfall from the sale of the apartment I'm setting aside roughly $2000 for 2 IM projects which will be my main focus online over the next 12 months.

As part of those projects I will definitely be acquiring some tools I've been very keen on for a fairly long time now. Namely - the best spinner, Autofill Magic and a subscription to Majestic.

I was just thinking of promoting some local services i provide with a friend . If i can resume what i have read in this topic as steps to success :

- choose a starting keyword related to my service and location
- create a website with EMD
- create some basic content related to services and clients
- track my keword with SERPmojo
(and by a1z27 comment)
- add schema to website
- build citations
- add some posts related to city and my services and link them to servicespage and homepage
- geo-tag images
And also buy some quality expired domains to power my site with some PBN links ehh

I'm starting this adventure in south america, never used Scrapbox because I'm a baby on SEO and not sure how it can help me, but if I get results in this adventure I'll share, thanks for the inspiration
