Hey guys and gals, I just had a kind of jarring experience a couple days ago and I wanted to share it because I really need an outside perspective on this:

Anyway, the other day I was walking downtown and I saw one of these hippy guys selling CDs on the floor (typical) but his album title made me double take. It was called trail magic or something like that and had esoteric symbols drawn on it. After gathering my courage for a little bit, I decided to go back and talk to him because the thought of meeting another one like me was super exciting and worth any initial awkwardness.
So I talk to this guy about the instrument he's playing, trying to scope him out a bit. I'm not feeling anything coming from him but I'm aware that some people are very good at hiding their powers so I'm not in a rush. Plus I don't wanna spook him. Anyway I try to gently lead our conversation to psi because I was getting bored of the chit chat.
Me: Huh, so your album is called trail magic eh? What kind of magic do you do?
Him: (Looking kind of confused at me) Wait... what kind of magic are you talking about?
I wanted a little bit of privacy because I didn't want to talk out in the open street so it started raining heavily (even though it was a completely sunny sky before) and he packed up his stuff and we went under a nearby building. He was really, really intrigued about what my "innocent" question was about but at that point I realized he wasn't like me so I tried to just give general stuff about connecting to nature, feeling energy, hippy dippy stuff. He said the only time he's ever felt energy is when he was doing ayahuasca, etc... He could tell I was being kind of evasive though and kept pressing me about what exactly I meant.
Anyway I showed him what I could do. The guy looked at me like I was a fucking cyclops. I started feeling like I need to get the fuck outta there as soon as possible.
Suddenly he started talking in really hushed tones and asked me if was a teacher and if I hold classes about these things. I told him I was just passing by. I gave him my email to write to me anyway and I'd answer any questions. The rain stopped immediately after I gave him my email and said goodbye.
I didn't like that. It felt bad. I don't think I should have shown him my powers at all because I don't really want to talk to him again about it. It made me feel like a freak show. I mean if even a hippy nature loving guy has never, ever seen anyone like me or even heard of shit like this, what chance do I have with a regular person?
I think I live in a kind of bubble. A psi bubble lol where paranormal abilities are standard. Most of the people I talk to on a regular basis online are like me and it's awesome being able to share and practice together (especially distance telepathy haha
). I really love these guys and consider them to be my close friends but I just realized something... I've never actually met anyone like me in real life. At all. The closest one is over 1000 miles away and in total there are about a dozen or so genuine supernaturals in total that I've talked to.
Am I a mutant? How many people are there like me? Meditation unlocked the psychic powers in me, but at least 8% of the general population meditates and yet so few people report psychic powers that it's still considered to be a fairy tale. I don't really know what to think about all this.
