so where is the money ????
can you say what you offer except of growing ?
Different things in different niches... some are product based and tangible goods others not so much.
for Real Estate I use IG to provide leads for my client. Considering avg CPC can be in the range of $15-$25 running google ads in the real estate industry, only sending to landing pages in hopes a potential buyer and/or seller to fill out forms. But in the end a few trickle in each month through DMs no form needed and some traffic to landing pages inevitably come through. Think about it, the potential payout on a $650k home (in california at least that is the median price for North OC) in commission that is close to a $10k payout on average after all expenses of marketing is paid... even more if that agent has the ability to double end the deal - that is how I negotiate/leverage the services I provide on a monthly basis. I take into account the ROI they stand to make. And honestly in my case I go after 1 of 2 types of realtors, either the ones crushing it and have a very good marketing budget or the complete morons that have no idea to do business but know the value of leveraging social media. You get them a single deal and they are in the bag forever so long as you dont tell them your proprietary methods.
Another client I work with is a fashion client mainly hats/t-shirt that actually has yet to start up, and I offer branding and growth for them. But I have also negotiated backend compensation based upon volume sold through the IG network to be renegotiated each quarter, it could go up or down depending on the volume i bring in.
I have more examples but I think you get the point, IG is just a tool. You just have to start thinking outside the box as to what social marketing actually
means to a business and the type of revenue it brings when done properly... in the end you also have to produce, not just say you are going to do something for them or you won't be able to bank monthly on that revenue, they eventually will fire you if you don't bring results.
To be honest about IG for me, although, I know and use the methods of growing accounts and even working on a few new accounts that will help me land clients for big payouts in the near future... I actually fucken HATE creating/growing new accounts. It takes entirely too long to monetize and too much time spent when I can be going after businesses with that time. Plus my team is small and we have enough to focus on opposed to trying to manually grow a clients account, I would never trust a paying clients' account to botting, it is just too risky IMHO.
I will invest up to 25% of my onboarding fee to actually buy a decently established IG account (which I don't tell my client of course) opposed to working it from scratch, I have my own tricks regarding shouts/mentions (to show a client I'm trying to land) how powerful an engaging network can be. You'd be surprised what a 20k-30k account will prove to a business owner that is looking for influencers, and I only go after small businesses, larger business have too many moving parts, quotas specific marketing plans and budgets etc. And if you control two or three 20k-30k accounts within their niche or closely related to it, you can start to leverage that amazingly well and effectively grow their
business not just their IG, in turn that gives you a bargaining chip...
