If you have a blog and your Twitter account has good interaction with your followers then you can share your blog posts URL's and drive the good traffic to your website. If the traffic is high then you can earn money through your adsense.

Twitter traffic doesn't really like moving to other websites - people tend to see these external links as spam and completely ignore them a lot more than on other websites; this is what I've deduced from my own experiences.

This is the best way, or direct sales of products.

There used to be ad widgets that automatically posted in users timelines and paid off based on the number of impressions, but I never got far with them, and don't see them too much these days.

Your clickthru will be low. But I have managed to monetize 200+ twitter accounts using software.

The trick is to appear natural, with a good photo and bio, don't spam, and to only follow the followers of niche accounts.

Then gently push links to landing pages.
