How do I avoid bad proxies?

Hi, every free proxy list is full of bad proxies! I know this because when I assign proxies to my twitter accounts in an app called Followliker, after only like a minute, all the accounts under that proxy gets banned. Like why though? Even if all I do is login to twitter with a 'bad' proxy it bans that account.

And how do I make sure to get ONLY proxies that work because some sites will have a whole list of proxies but only some of them will work or they'll be so slow that it might as well just not work. How do I avoid these types of things? Can someone pleease help me?

I use only one or two between them every day and I don't have find any issue.

Because the list of proxy on internet are public, all the proxies are used by many people and are easily scheduled as banned.
To avoid the problem you need to buy private proxies.
If the question instead is how to check if the proxies is good, maybe you need to use some programs (I'll be sure in the download sections there are some).
I don't find the link but in the download sections there are some good programs to download updated lists of proxies, I use some of them just to download the list.

Don't use public proxies, they are slow, aren't reliable - they can be working when you try them, but not in the next second - and they're abused to hell, so won't be good for your purpose. Apart form this, they can be dangerous too, you can get infected/hacked, if you use a bad proxy.

Head over to the Proxies for Sale section and look for a provider who has Twitter proxies, if it's not specified, ask before purchasing.
If you're looking for a free solution, i'm afraid, you won't be able to find any.
