Wondering how much affect Likes (and dislikes?) have on a video.

Would it be a good idea to have up to 100 sub youtube accounts to rate your own video (maybe comment too?)

Anyone tried this ?o_O

They play a role in ranking a video, but they are not the only factor

Doing that many likes manually with your own accounts would be extremely time-consuming and they probably wouldn't even stick in some cases. I just buy mine the majority of the time or just use a social exchange website for a little boost. I keep the amount of likes on my videos around 5-10% of the total views that the video has. Then I manually go in and add a few dislikes from my own accounts to make it look a little more natural.

I'm not sure I agree with that, I have tried many things over the years (sending HR views, sending Geo HR views, social shares, likes, comments, embeds, backlinks... just about any combination you can think of using those factors). I found likes have barley any factor for ranking, for me a combination of social shares/likes and HR views do wonders. However, this is just from what I've experienced first hand, maybe you and others have had better luck with YouTube likes.

yeah Im not going at this with only likes but considering looking into it.
It has potential + comments can be added to with existing accounts.
I Also do plan to automate this if I do do it, frack doing this manually
