BHW Escrow Service!?

I dunno, maybe I'm rehashing what someone else posted a month ago or yrs ago. Hell, Maybe at one time there was an Escrow for BHW to medium transactions.

If all of the above has never happened then my question(s) would be: Since a huge percentage of this forum is business, how come there's no Escrow service?

Will there ever be an Escrow service?

Just curious. Forgive me if I missed this topic somewhere in the depths of this forum.

On some other forums, I saw some reputed members voluntarily or as a service becomes a MM between deals. It usually helps people with new account buying from people with new account.

I don't think the mods/staff would like to implement that, just more work and responsability on their part. The scammers don't get far, and you can avoid them by being cautious.

Some forums have respected members performing escrow services in member transactions, maybe that would be possible in the marketplace if it doesn't violate the rules.

Never. Then again, I've never been in a situation as of yet where I needed a project completed and a large sum of money is involved.
This whole topic came about from me having down time and reading the the "The Shit List" Section of the forum.

I think we need an escrow service when dealing with big sum of money or when sellers don't accept paypal.

That's very understandable. It's one of the reasons I enjoy being a member here. Friendly staff, and very low scam rate.

Indeed, it is a very clean forum compared to many others.

There are also external escrow services to use if that is agreed upon, I personally wouldn't mind using one if asked to, on a sum large enough for the hassle.

i doubt if a bhw escrow service will be a good idea. seeing scammers will make it there job to crack the system hence making a bad name fore the forum, not to mention a work load for the mods and i think escrow.com is doing a good job on that part yet some crooks some how have manage to make a fortune over there scamming people!

Wow! Scamming the escrow!? I would've never image something like that happening. I guess a thief can Wiesel his/her way through just about anything if they want it bad enough.

This is a platform for introducing members to each other, business is conducted between parties at their own risk. As with any business due diligence and common sense is what's required. If it's too good to be true then it probably is. Members who make wild claims about earning large sums are quickly spotted by the community and dealt with. Reputation is what's important on here, it can make or break a business.
My opinion is Escrow is not needed, Mods seem pretty good at sorting problems from what i have seen.
