[Case Study] - GSA Directly on One-Page Affiliate Offers.

Okay, it's a given in 2016 that traditional "churn and burn" high volume strategies have been murdered by the periodic penguin updates. However, I've seen a lot of bickering about whether automated tools still work for money sites so I decided to set up my own case study.

This is going to be a case study done across five offers in the same niche for five medium comp keywords.

What I've done

1. My VAs designed a landing page for five separate 65% rev-share membership offers funneling into a community site.

2. I have personally written a 1000 word SEO article for each site, and outsourced five 1000 word articles on each $30 each to use as fc-dh described in this thread.

3. Set up GSA SER for all five sites with a syndication type article.

GSA SER + CB + PR Emulator

50 Private Proxies from Buyproxies
Custom Scraping set-up with Scrapebox 64

Platforms: Articles, Blog Comments, Social Networks
PR Emulator Filter: TF20+, CF20+
OBL Filter: Sites must have OBL < 30.
Submissions: 30 +/- 4 per day.

Skip bad words and sites in Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Hindi

Anchors: Variations of the brand and raw URL in the Keywords and Anchors slot, and toggling Domain anchors at 60%,

Control Group

I will use a niche-targeted 10 site PBN targeting five main anchors with two anchors each on site 4 and site 5. I will use 10 Homepage English SAPE links for site 3, and pure GSA for site 1 and 2.

To my knowledge, classical indexing methods were patched last year. Blog Comments get indexed REALLY quickly, but I'm probably going to have to add a drip-fed tier 2 to the contextual Social Networks and Articles if they won't index naturally.

What's the reason behind removing the Forum Discusz? I've read about removing the other three just never Discusz.

Haha thanks for the shout out I have been meaning to drop in and check this out but have been crazy busy. If you add Guestbooks then dediEMS can also be a bad engine unless you filter them pretty heavily. Probably better to just leave them out for now though tbh mate.

Personally I would skip the TF20+ and CF 20+, the number of sites SER can hit with that are crazy low, even finding PBN domains with that power would be hard. I use articles and social networks on my T1 (sometimes forums) as they create a contextual fresh page that others usually cant spam. I use Blog Comments, Guestbooks, image comments and Trackbacks on my T2 as they are plentiful and most are already indexed.

I would also drop the OBL limit, as I said the stuff on your T1 touching your money site will be on a fresh page on the site so OBL dont really matter and you will be building the power of that page yourself with your T2. OBL limits are more for manual blog commenting on high power pages.

The traditional meaning of the churn and burn term is more to do with spamming the crap out of your site so if thats what you are wanting to test then the 30 links per day restriction on your T1 is pointless too.

Thats exactly right, I am yet to find an indexing service since they were patched out that works and can handel a large number of links. The T2 platforms get you indexed fast enough.

Discusz has the potential to be a good engine, when I tested it though it clogged SER up loads and slowed down the LPM massivly as it kept getting hung up on platform specific stuff for it. Not sure if it was a bug and has been fixed or if it is something the platform devs have added to stop SER users spamming it.

Recently Easyblog have implimented something into their engine to stop SER working on it, I have ran millions of identified easyblog targets through SER and havent got a single verified from them. I have spoken to GSA about it and they have confirmed that they are having dramas with the platform so I have also removed that from my system to save system resources.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, I will pop in as and when I can to offer advice .

Just out of curiosity, how did you decide that your keywords are medium comp? I only ask as most the guru blogs out there chat total crap and confuse people. I have coached a fair few people in the past from over on the GSA forum and beleive it or not almost all of them have made two out of three of these mistakes if not all three.....

1 - They randomly decide their keyword is low comp when its not.
2 - They have major dramas with their on page SEO and over optimisation. Every single time it is because they are using Yoast SEO, I HATE that plugin!
3 - They dont understand how to set SER up and have dangerous/unoptimesed things in it.

From what you have said your SER sounds better than theirs but if you want me to check out your keywords or look over your site just inbox me. I dont have time to check your SER out though as it takes ages and usually generates more questions than it answers.

The project isn't really an intended churn and burn project (I'm using .club domains instead of parasites). I consider it medium comp because my PBN/Automated Tools set up consistently ranked me for Green Coffee and Garcinia in 2014 before payday loans 2.0 and this stuff is pretty easy in comparison but still harder than the keywords I target for some of my clients. I just want to see how far I can get using filtered GSA links alone with syndicated articles.

Come to think of it, I'll make another change and remove the submission cap on site 5

KW1 has moved to #27 on site 5. The PBN posts have finished dripping out although only two of them are indexed.

With all 5 projects at 60+ TF20+ contextual links, I have started up a tier 2 using Shaunm's settings. I'll be using generic GSA comments here.
