Hey Guys I hope you can help me out here...
Now, There may be a pretty simple solution to this, and I hope there is.
I was wondering if there's a tool to show ALL the locations or websites a particular url was placed.

Example:
I have an old bitly link that I realize was getting a lot of traffic now as the site associated with that link has changed and is no longer available and bitly won't let you edit the url or even delete the link i would like to manually go to those sites where I placed the Bitly and change that link. Now, bitly will give you a general idea where the traffic from the link is coming from like Youtube,Dailymotion etc...then there's the Infamous it came from "Dark Traffic" but if you have hundreds of youtube or other accounts that can be a pain.
Yeah I know there are Managers to track this if set-up before hand but that bridge in this case for me is already burned... So, is there such a tool that can track and give you all the locations a particular link exist?
Or is this just wishful thinking and no such tool is available? Yes I have tried a few things like wayback machine and archive stuff but it will only give me info or send me to the links FINAL DESTINATION..
i.e. .... TheUrl that was originally associated with that bitlink

Try Ahrefs to track down all of the links.

Thanks so much for replying I'll check it again but I think they only track links whose position or location is already known.
Actually the more I think about it, what I'm asking and the shear mass of the internet would probably be the equivalent me having access to google's crawler or something then alerting me when they find the links lol.
I mean, how would a locater/tracker even know where to start. Guess I could train or Automate some kind of scraper or something to check all my accounts, Forum post etc.. or something like that. I am pretty good at keeping a record of my accounts but the Forum post is another thing and I'm thinking that's where most of the Traffic is coming from..Niche related forum post..NOT SPAM..Relevant post and that's why they're still alive..
WAIT! I think it's these Q&A sites like Quora etc...but I have a pile of accounts per niche on those as well. Shit..
Guess if I find the particular set of Niche related accounts I could easily automate the Changing of ALL links in Those Profiles but the Links on some of the more Popular questions I may have answered which I would Link my site as the source at the end of the answer...well that's another question.
Any pertinent advice or response is appreciated!

why don't you just redirect the bit.ly instead of doing all that work?

Yeah that's the first thing I tried but the option is not there in free addition you need to do the Enterprise thing and request a demo and blah blah blah ... There's no link to just pay and upgrade if you wanted to, I didn't see one anyway...They wanna know you're whole damn history to get a Bitly Demo...

I'm good though thanks everyone for the replies ...

I'll monitor the traffic a bit longer and see if it's worth the extra effort..

Got other things to do -lol

I think SEMRUSH and SERPSTAT will fulfill your requirements. Consider it and make use of it.

Best wishes.;)

Thanks Buddy I got a Handle on it...

Seems Bitly's slick butts will only upgrade you after you have an on phone consultation to help "best fulfill your company's needs".. what that means in laymans terms is to see how Badly you need to redirect and the amount of links so they know how to price gouge ,I mean, Charge you for the upgrade. It's actually quite clever. Like DROPBOX Letting you set all those links then after a while you see this ..

drop_box_edit.jpg

Or like the Image sites that let you upload your images then after awhile they lock it unless you upgrade..
The list goes on and on...you Guys already know how the Ol'e attempted forced upgrade method works. I respect the game just not when it's trying to be ran on me...o_O

As I stated though thanks for all the replies...

I HAVE IT COVERED NOW!!!

Clear example:p,use SEMRUSH as neo already said will give you the whole details about a site and a place to clear your doubts.

Buddy we've already discussed that...thanks anyway...

Have you ever redirected One?

Once again I know you can REDIRECT with a paid upgraded enterprise package but I was just wondering if there was a tool or workaround...

You means serp checker tools?

No it has nothing to do keyword rank checker or SEO for that matter..I know about all that stuff is what I keep trying to say -lol... I was simple asking about an alternative to bitly link redirecting which is no longer available with the free addition..SIMPLE AS THAT..No serp or keyword tracking, analyzing, link positioning and all that Blah Blah Blah - lol..NOT THAT COMPLICATED AT LLL

===============================

Maybe this will clear it up a bit..
to update to Bitly enterprise which allows you to redirect links you have to request a demo
you CANT just quietly pay for upgrade like most sites... mostly unmonitored. when I did anonymously request a demo I was told I must first talk to a rep to as they claim, help see which package best suits me- lol.. which I did,Take the phone consultation, and was told in so may words they would probably being reviewing the account before an upgrade is granted , which upon review those links would probably be promptly deleted- lol-- because They may or may not comply with Bitly's TOS..then I would never find out where they are/were, so I was trying to locate and change them without having to Deal with Bitly's prying eyes. . These Guys are slick. There's a reason they don't have a set price for the upgrade..The Cost will depend on your situation and level of desperation in some cases..NOT ALL CASES OF COURSE..

Of course I'm just joking...or am i:rolleyes:

THREAD and CASE CLOSED:p
