Urgh...

I never have ideas :/

Ask me to build a website or tool for millions of visitors, easy. Ask me to think of an idea for a website... none. Nada. nothing.

Does anyone else suffer from this problem?

This issue stems from information overload, a harmless condition when taking in too much information.

From the looks of it there are no easy ways to remove this condition, but rather time itself can only handle this. After recovering (which can take 18 months, ideas will come in easier.)

I've been through it before. It's like when all motivation goes through wonder and kills your head.

If you can't seem to handle an idea on your own try replicating a competitor...

That's always a good way to learn.

Stick with whatever builds any idea and develop more using similar techniques if failure is common. Finding eggs isn't an overnight process and money doesn't come in as fast as anticipated once you're there.

Stick to hobbies or interests. Be an expert (even if you aren't one) on something. I worked as a stereo installer and salesman for over a decade before I quit my job and started learning IM. One of the first things that I did was to start selling some of the parts and cables that I accumulated over the years on eBay. This was an excellent source of income and the next step for me was to create a website that had these items available for sale.

I knew nothing about web design and figured I would need years of experience with CSS and coding or use expensive website building programs like Dreamweaver or something like that. Then, in my research, I learned about Wordpress web design and affiliate marketing. I started with Amazon and built a few websites in the car stereo and GPS navigation niche. I built review sites about speakers, amplifiers, and in-dash headunits. I turned my passion for car audio and previous sales/installation knowledge into a passive income stream.

Sometimes, the idea for a new website or internet marketing project is right in front of your face. I always recommend that people start with their passions or past experiences. If you have knowledge and background dealing with a subject or niche, use it to make money. If it interests you, then you will never run out of creative juice.

Hi Dawgtown,
Thanks, uplifted the spirits a little, my passion is websites.. hrm... I will have a ponder.

Website building and design is a very lucrative niche. There is a lot of competition but there is also plenty of room for more players. Adding your own experiences will help you to provide unique and interesting twists. For some, they focus on layout and template design. There is plenty of money to be made there. For others, it's on-page or off-page SEO. Many others focus on social media integration. Again, there are plenty of avenues in the website niche.

Think of the users of simple one-click website building sites. Many are new to internet web design but wanting to build an ecommerce store/brand. You can build and design products that are simple for others to use to do this and set up a monthly subscription service (think Shopify). Build tutorial websites and start a Youtube channel to help guide others with your products. Bank.

Keep your spirits high. Set goals. Rinse and repeat.
