SOCKS are more anonymous, but it depends what your proxies support. Some are only Socks or HTTP, so thats usually going to be your deciding factor, but if you have the option go with SOCKS.

SOCKS proxies not works in some places. So I suggest you to go with https - socks proxies are more used in big automations, scrappers and so on - and in such tasks as FL it goes with http proxies

always look for dedicated HTTP proxies, this days twitter is very tricky .
also read the reviews before purchasing any proxies, and stay away for the "dedicated proxies" with a price under $1/proxy, 100% you will get shared proxies
