Looking for Hostwinds alternative

Hey everybody, I'm looking for a shared hosting alternative for hostwinds. long story short, I been hosting with them for a while, but I'm getting a report about me having too much traffic, truth is, me website stats only reports about 400 to 500 visitors per day, which isn't much... I tried their VPS service, and was even worse than shared (down all the time, same weird reason).

Im open to suggestions

I contacted them via email, they told me the "suggest" to change for VPS, I find no reason to change for a higher price service while getting lower spects and downtime

I'll go with Namecheap if I were you. They will never emailing you for traffic spike nor asking you to upgrade VPS every now and then like Hostwinds did. Which is kind of a bummer.

All my projects are adult, so I dunno if thats OK with their TOS
EDIT: Ok just checked, they seem to only allow adult on VPS, donno if its worth the shot

Well you just updated that adult thingy now. I think it's worth the shot since they have a good performance and not annoying.

There's DreamHost, BlueHost & specific use hosting found inside the forum here (Hostamus.. etc.)

In terms of hosting and having a problem with the new provider aim at escaping this issue by acquiring a VPS.

Are you embedding videos or hosting them on your own server ?
Regardless i think you should just go with VPS or Cloud . I am using linode for my porn website , its being up for month and half and had no problem. Around 1000 visitors per day with 8000 page views and i am using on average 10% of CPU and 30% of memory. Spent 16gb XFER from 2000 that is included. (Notice : i am embeding videos from other servers)
However this requires you to understand linux and setup your website properly. Price is 10$ + 2.5$ (backup optional) monthly , and not once in this month and a half have i experienced a single stutter.
Best of all you can scale with a mouse click without worrying about changing server infrastructure.
