Nofollow blog comments from related blogs?

I wonder if blog commenting can give me a Google ranking boost even if the blog comments are nofollow? I comment on blogs that are related to my website and I use my first name as the anchor text to not look spammy and to get my comments approved.

I doubt it will be very helpful. AI is very good at recognizing things that look like blog comments. Here is a better idea. If you are dropshipping poker tables then make a nice website about poker. Make a poker table review site. Make a man cave blog with heavy posting about poker. Make bunch of poker table social pages. Then leverage them to promote your affiliate store. I've seen this strategy work numerous times on some very noteworthy keywords.

It might help, but you'd definitely need to diversify your linkbuilding portfolio. You don't want all your links just coming from blog comments. Also, to look as natural as possible, it's good to have a mix of ******** and nofollow in your link profile.

Nofollow links only help you increase your web traffic and help diversify your link profile but don't over-do it.

I definitely recommend getting at least a couple niche relevant blog comments per week. It's easy and adds relevant backlinks to your profile. It won't help SERPs, it'll just mask any blackhat SEO work you do by adding some natural links.

That's a great advice - thank you. However, I'm afraid that I might also do some harm to my website if I leave a comment on a blog that might be penalized - I don't know how to find out if a blog has a penalty or not.

Go on to Google.com and type:

keyword + "leave a comment"

The sites listed will likely not have penalties against them. Post relevant comments and they'll get approved. I like to use blog comments to use branded anchor texts, that way it diversifies your anchor profile whilst increasing your chances of having the comment approved.

If I'm a blog owner, I'll always approved someone who posts as "Whiskey Kingdom" over "how to make homemade whiskey"

No follow blog comment do provide value. As long as it is content heavy and relevant to your niche. Just make sure not to post in an over crowded or spammed page.

Check the site in semrush and see the traffic graph, you will know in 5 sec if it was penalized

Also about nofollow and SEO I have try it myself, added slowly 30 noffollow links to a new site with 0 d0f0llow and I see some very great move, so for me it's pretty obvious the quality nofollow link are usefull, I have plan to add 50 to another site in the next 60 days all to the root domain

My advice is always try by yourself, you have nothing to lose

You can add all of them to the root domain. But why not try some twist., try making some links to your social profiles as well...google+ profile or twitter maybe...you might see some astonishing results.

The answer to your question depends on the quality of your comments.

If you're going to comment in such a way that actually adds value to the conversation, you will be able to benefit as far as SEO and direct traffic are concerned.

You have to remember that people are always looking for quality.

A lot of people like to dismiss blog comments as simply a way of building backlinks.

If you target the right blogs and they are closely related to your target blogs, it may be a wise investment of your time to craft a highly-relevant and value-added comments.

Never underestimate the value of blog comments.

I've generated quite a bit of business posting informative comments on niche-specific blogs.
